holy giant pile of bird turds batman!!
y-pipe is $180!!!!!
the total came to $220 for it!!! $40 shipping from CA. i dont believe it, its not that heavy. $20 at the most...... im never buying jba again.

i forgot! it changed!
PURCHASE PERTRONIX 06/17 $190.91

i guess the $29.09 extra was to make sure it cleared. like some gas stations do
(should be coming in today, they never emailed me the tracking :/ one reason i hate phone orders)

got the y-pipe this morning. just waiting for the o2 sensor now

get the welds reinforced on the outside maybe?

jd, what did you put my bung in with? looks like the copper high temp rtv? didnt you use threadlock too? i would prefer antiseize of everything exhaust if i can tho...

why the hell do they weld it like that.to me it would be weaker and cause it not to sit flush.yea high temp and yea i think i did use thread lock.i would take it down and have the bung welded now where the hole is.your have to use thread lock if you dont get it welded.otherwise it will come loose.looks like it didnt come coated either.wtf is it $190 for then!!!

yea it doesnt look that great. the inside doesnt either. looks like poop, i swear i see cracks when they didnt even weld it fully. i think its stainless steel so it should be ok, but still it should be coated. im pissed at jba. wayyyyy to much money for some crap. plain non coated headers with the same welds are $600...

dont really have much of a choice given my time limit. or i wouldve told them to stick it where the sun dont shine! prob wouldnt have even ordered it

maniak or whoever. any idea why my air valve isnt working? i get continuity on all wires, ground to the switch, power to the switch, air valve wire to switch. not sure what setting to put it on, but i got continuity on the air valves pos and neg wires. came to 6.xx for that.

before when i had it working was the switch they included, 2 wires attached to it, non lighted. + and -
this one is 3 pins, power, ground, accessory, lighted switch. i dont have the other switch anymore to test it. tried another 3 pin lighted switch and got no results on that either

you didn't get the bug welded also?

i didnt know i could weld bugs.
big als wont touch the cat. i asked them again today. they refuse. just gonna put it back how you had it. what sucks is i didnt even get my o2 sensor. i hate usps, they prob lost it so they marked it as delivered

hey what are the 2 half circle things on the front wheels, there on each end of the caliper. are those the slides? they look different from my rear axles, thats why im asking.
but umm, 3 stick out 1/2" maybe, and the bottom passenger one sticks out 1". thats not good is it? what should i do?

well um. cat and y-pipe are not lining up. gonna loosen the y-pipe and try that way.
i mustve gotten lucky before, cause i bolted the old one on tight and the cat fit right on.
wasnt lined up right. loosened everything up, loosely attached the cat, then played with everything and everything went on tight after.

so its all done, and running. had some smoke on the drivers side. i put a little dab of anti-seize on the bung cap and it was just that burning off. scared me for a second lol

while i was down there sourcing smoke, my pushrod tap is really loud under the truck. much louder then sticking my ear next to the valve cover. you sure its the pushrod jd?

IAC wasnt it. idle still surges up and down along with the voltmeter. ill try checking my MAF plug. the guy in a different post said his was dirty. the plug not the sensor itself.

i got something done today, but i wont be posting it until after my trip next saturday

what company thats all over the us or maybe something local to va does lifetime alignments? and what is their terms by 'lifetime'? the same tires/suspension, or just the same truck as long as it isnt crushed same owner or not?

cause ive relly needed one since i got the truck, but with a lift coming up thats gonna throw it off bad.
ive also been getting a lot of wandering while driving lately. it likes to pull left/right while accelerating/coasting/braking.

Some places like that (that I've seen at least) are reluctant to work on trucks with a modified suspension, or if they do take it for service they don't do it right. Probably better to take it to a good offroad shop that knows what it's doing and get it right the first time.
