ok ill start with the excuses

you ready because there will be ALOT.keep all this info in mind when you do see the numbers.starters i tell the guy im expecting around 250ish hp,he breaks out laughing and said "no way with those tires on it",then says" i will be shocked if you break 180hp" i say no ####n way, this is a fully built motor with a sc on it!!!

he said i would bet you the cost back if you went back to 3.73 and stock tires that you would make 50-70hp more,i then call his bluff and tell him a had the stock axle and tires at home and would switch it next weekend for that amount of money.he said he would stand by that statement and brought another guy over to even witness it.so then goes on to say that the A4ld is the worse trans every for eating power and not holding power, witch i knew.
we did 7 runs,3 with the 3.25 and 4 with the 2.7. on the end of the 5 run my alternator blows up and starts to eat itself

so he does 2 back to back runs and calls it.he said that the alt could have been bad the whole time costing me hp from the low voltage and drag, last 2 runs for sure.he said its possible it could have been eating alot,he didnt have a number but said low voltage and drag is a guarantee.
he writes me 4 tunes-(0) 3.25 pulley -(1) 2.7 pulley (2) 2.7 minus 2degrees (3) 2.7 minus 4degrees.said he did that in the tables also but said these on the knob would be for (2)bad gas and (3) for HIGH HEAT or if ic goes out.he said he could have got another 20hp out of it but these are very safe tunes for 4x4ing and mountains.
he raised my rev limiter to 6000 and it made power all the way to red line.he wanted to raise it more, said with those dual springs, cam and tune it would be safe up over 6500.i told him leave it at 6000. i saw a max boost with the 3.25 pulley of 6.5lbs and with the 2.7 i hit 9lbs.now the disappointing numbers, again remember all that crap above.i did 186.6 with the 3.25 pulley and 207 with the 2.7

those may look real low but if this was in a stock truck that would be around 280ish + that little extra he thinks he can get

he said to come back when i get my 5speed and he bets i get 15-25 more hp just by getting ride of the a4ld and some from having a good alternator.said he would bet i can get to 250hp after that with more tuning.i also so a max air temp after the blower of 132* at 9lbs of boost and 109* at tb
so my conclusion,DONT EXPECT BIG HP NUMBERS FROM A 4.0 4x4 OHV WITH BIG TIRES:thumbdwn: but i will say one thing, this thing is freakn crazy.the roads are wet around here and it will break loose with barley any gas unexpectedly.just getting up to speed at like 35ish it will break loose and get sideways .every down shift no matter the speed will break you loose, its kind of scary!!

i couldnt even get to do a full throttle pass as it just couldnt keep traction, but a 3/8 throttle was about all i could do and it was pretty freakn fast.only got it to 6lbs and i was done
was it worth the cost......that has yet to be answered but the one of a kind and the HUGE increase in power...PRICELESS
dyno run, these was the last two pulls with the 2.7 and the alternator was bad.turn your volume down!!
and a 3.25 pull and think my rev is still set to 5000 in this one
