You know what really fawking blows is that one motor is has a 6 bolt crank and the other is an 8 bolt crank, well guess my fawking day is shot

Murphy's Law

I'm gonna see if my sweetie will make me a margarita and I'm gonna go sit on the swing in the front yard.

Didn't anyone check the motor before it was bought to make sure it had the right crank in it?

Thats a nice mess.

I've got an 8 bolt flexplate, spacer and bolts handy that I'll trade for the 6 bolt if you need 'em.

But why are you throwing in a 98+ motor?

Jeff,
I'm going to drive to your house after Moab so you can help me swap mine out.

Bring it Colin, we'll put you in junior's room and feed you some good home cooked meals.

Thanx, yeah I actually had to change clothes after I clean it and the engine, not cause I was soaked but all the crud that blew off and landed on me, there (of course) are still little spot I eaither couldn't see or just plain wouldn't come clean but it was a huge difference afterwards.
I had to flip the radiator over 5 times before I got all the mud out of the core, I bought a 2.5 gallon jug of Purple Power and used about half of it at full strength.

Jeff..
You gotta stand on a box, even after airing down his tires?

Dang dude.. you sure seem taller in person..

or uhm I mean you look "longer" laying under a vehicle rather than standing next to them.

*joking grin*

Damn after almost 20 years, you would figure you'd know I'm only knee high to a weed.
If I remember right I'm shorter than Rick.

And I was napping, till Lori woke me up

Holy crap! Deja VU

I just did this swap, really similar....I ran into the same issue with the 6 bolt and 8 bolt crank, check it:

Sorry Jamie, it was a two fold joke, one not too many people know about the 6-8 bolt crank difference (Jefe busted me though), and the later half is that I was trying to yank Randall's chain (April Fool's Day), but to no avail, as he is always on the net, his connection went down this weekend, so technically my April Fool's joke went sour.

But I did, when Randall's wife brought up the motor, I checked it first thing to make sure it was the right bolt pattern, the only thing I had to change was the wiring harness on the engine, as the one I put in had a square plug and the harness on Randell's rig was round.

I never learned how you people put circles in squares

What I am still trying to figure out is why the friggin junk yard removes the flywheel from the engine and then sell it to me...luckily it took my friend at Ford 1 day to gett all I needed for el cheapo, one stealership in town wanted $265 JUST FOR THE FLYWHEEL

it didnt even cross my mind the later model would have this change....
