every gen II Ex I have seen has a vacuum canister mounted below the airbox (below the sheetmetal, in front of the tire)
If you have a heat in your truck you have this "globe"
Aldive I dont think U are looking in the correct spot.
Unless your truck was ever wrecked or the previous owner deleted the globe it should be there, regardless of what engine you have, tranmission, AC or not, this thing holds vacuum and has a check valve built into it, it feeds the heater control valve and your HVAC system dash vacuum operated devices.
It is mearly a resevoir and likely the systems will finction without it (if you were to bypass it) but only when the truck is running.
