Either that or there's crap in the tank that is getting sucked against the pump inlet and killing fuel flow. When the pump turns off, the suction that is pulling junk against the inlet is released, lets it fall off
Hate to say it, but it might be worth pulling the tank to see what condition everything is in....
Do you think I would see evidence of this on the sock???
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?
I should point this out, thanks for bringing it up.
My fuel system is relatively new ( 3 yrs)---Aeromotive adjustable regulator (boost reference) ,Aeromotive 5/8" rails and lines 42lb injectors. I have a fuel pressure guage permanently mounted to the regulator. Fuel pressure is at 48 psi static, goes to about 45 with vacuum line attatched. Remember, my fuel system is a return type. I have a 5/8 (AN 10) line feeding each rail, and a 3/8 (AN8) return off each rail to the FPR. Everything there is good. This problem just started. Fuel filter has less than 10k miles, however I am switching it also.
How about this?? It is a genuine Walbro, and guarateed for 3 years
