My wife and dog will be comming.

As long as Wil is comming then I-64 623 exits would be most convienent. Route 623 exit is just west of the 288 and 295 intersection of I 64. Take a right on 623 off exit ramp, park and ride is imediately on your right.

Ther are several conveince stores near the exit. There is also a little BBQ stand nearby that is really good. If we go out Route 6, there are numerous convience stores on the way. There are not many burger doodles going that way.

We won't attract any attention at the park and ride at the 623 exit. Thats in the country, and our lifted trucks will be tame compared to some of the locals. At the Gaskins Road exit, surbarbia, we might stick out a little.

What about dogs, sounds like we have some dogs comming along.

Truth.

TRUTH.

I'm not sure you drive your Ex as much as I do or not, but do you and FishFood get harassed by the cops over here as much as I do? I swear they pick on the SUVs and Jeeps way more than they do all those fancy lawn care Super Duty's that sit 400ft off the ground... I don't even drive like a ##### either, I'm usually the first person to move out of someone's way if they're in a hurry.

I don't drive my X very much. I have been stopped and let go. My X is less that 5,000-pounds gross weight, passenger vehicle. So I can only be 23 1/2" to frame or bumper, I am about 25 or 26.

The cop told me to reregister it as a light truck, to be legal. But what he rerally meant was pay more taxes and we will leave you alone.

Gggrrrrr

Typical i havent been messed with in the x yet but i do drive like a grandma....AND I STILL DONT HAVE TIRES ON.....
F#$%'N FED EX LOST MY TIRE GRRRRR
its ok though because after telling the supervisor how her employee promised me this morning it was on a truck for delivery and there was no need to research it>BS employee sunday said its def misplaced and this afternoon after calling to speak with supervisor the girl said "oh yeah its lost"
AFTER TELLING THEM I NEED COMPENSATION FOR MY LOSS IN BUISNESS AND TIME----manager "the soonest way you can get a tire is to call shipper and have them reference me and itll be overnighted to you on us." HAHA had treadwright associate already on phone (on hold over a hour) and said they had no problem sending me another tomorrow morning and billing FED-EX....(make them think your a small buisness owner and that helps)

I cant say enough good things about this company (treadwright) they have been more than happy to help me in any way possible (including sending another and also filiing a lost package claim with FED-Ex for the money!

Sorry to hear about the hassle with FedEx. I've heard several stories like yours about Treadwright and that is really impressive. To me customer service can make or break a product.

im thinking of the possibility or a trailer for the exploder just incase. good places to park a cc long bed f350 and a trailer? preferably near the trails themselves

edit: speaking of fedex..

AMEN just like with my fenders.DON'T EVER ORDER FROM GLASSWORKS! !
how should i break in my front gears?.i have manual hubs now and an aussie. Locking one or both would only spin the spider gears right?only way would be lock one and take out the rear drive shaft and put it in 4x4 right?

well if the aussie is installed before you break in then locking the hubs will turn the ring and pinion without it being in 4x4 but it will only work one side of the teeth. What side gets worked depends on whether the D35 is standard rotation or reverse.

Now what you could do is take out the rear driveshaft, jack up the front wheels, lock the hubs, and put it in 4x4 and do the initial break in that way...some easy accel and decel to work both sides of the teeth. Do two 15 minutes sessions like that letting the gear oil cool down completely in between.

After that you could drive it on the street with the hubs locked but out of 4x4 for a while, change out the oil, and you should be good to go.

You sure.i would think the only way the r&p will spin is if the drive shaft has power.i think that it would just spin and click and not spin the rp.if that's the case ill just drive around with both hubs locked and in 2wd.guess i could jack up the rear and put the truck in neutral and spin both back tires and see if the driveshaft spins or not.i have the aussie in the rear also.that would be the same as if the front both hubs are locked and in neutral.

Hmm yeah you got a point it might just click and spin since the crosspin wouldn't be forcing the drivers to engage the side gears of the locker. I don't know why I didn't think about that.

Ok so in that case try plan B lol. You could just jack up all 4 corners so you don't have to pull the rear driveshaft.

Im going to jack up the rear and see what it does first.i have to remove the real driveshaft this week anyways.its damaged and i got a new one that im having extended.it separated doing a burn out/doughnut ;(long story!!i think ill just drive around here with one hub locked in 4x4 with no drive shaft, atleast to get the heat cycles done

Sounds good. Shoot you'll probably do all right on those trails with just locked 2wd, but with the drive out there they should be good and broken in by then anyway.

Yea im wanting to try all the hard ways and this mud pit that fishfood is scard of.i would just do heat cycles here i would drive all the way out there with just front wheel drive
