Alright, I'm going to tell the story in brief.

We are hanging the differential on the drop brackets, got the bolts pushed in. I was on a creeper coming out from under the truck, pulling my way out. I grabbed and pulled- bam!- The brake caliper that was hanging from the wire gave way, hit me square in the two front teeth One tooth is going to have to be root canaled, posted and a crown put on. The other tooth is pretty seriously chipped.

Now, before you start, I had the caliper wired up very well, The wire was looped around the caliper, twisted 4 or 5 times and it still gave way. I don't know how. I've wired calipers up like that thousands of times and never had a failure. It's just really bad luck.



BTW, There will be absolutely no pictures of the damages.

Hehe, ah, don't sweat it.

During recess one day in 6th grade, me and this other kid were running around on a wet sidewalk (it had rained that morning). I slipped and fell and unfortunately my arms were not where they needed to be and I faceplanted the sidewalk. Both front teeth are chipped about halfway down.

I didn't need a root canal tho The dentist fixed them with something, I don't know what it is exactly, but I call them the "bondo teeth."

Hope you got a good dentist too, the first one I went to didn't do it right and the color wasn't right, and overall didn't look good. My mom insisted I have it redone tho during my freshman year in HS and they've been fine since then.

I have an excellent dentist, I go see him first thing tomorrow AM, and if he can't get it done then, he has agreed to work on it during his lunch

I've made it home finally trying to recover- this has been one heck of a week.

Not complaining, but while I was gone somebody backed into my wife's car and damaged the front bumper, it was on private property so the damage will be up to me to repair.

You wouldn't believe the extent they went to to use a u-bolted-on spindle extender.

I swear they had to design and machine 50 parts just to avoid casting a spindle.

Evan, you really got the short end of the stick there, buddy. Hope the fix is fast and as painless as possible! Micah's (sn0border88) explorer, Emily, took a shot at me a few years ago when we were putting in her 6" lift... I was spitting blood for 10 minutes and now I have some lovely chipped toof, too

Im certainly getting more attention from it now, for instance yesterday before I went to work I drove by the pool and a couple of girls were staring at it pretty hard....

I got all patched up today- the chipped tooth was "bonded" and the other one had a root canal, post and temporary crown. I go back in 3 weeks for a checkup and fitment for a permanent crown.

It looks really good, I won't be taking/posting pictures though
