No such thing as overkill. Dana 60 rears and 14 bolt rears can be had cheap. Plus some of the 14 bolt rears can be as narrow as 61" I believe which isnt much wider the the 30 front and if you are getting a custom front anyway thats no problem. :D Then you could run some of them new 40" MTRs :D

Sounds like the planning is coming along great Jeff! I think you have the right idea with using a 44. I can't wait to see the "in-progress" pics.

Reman. PS Pump:

I was rotating my tires, so I figured I'd mount them onto my new axle for kicks. Turns out that the D30 is actually 2" wider than the Ex stock. (yes, this was a pain without a tie-rod). . .

. . .so my fenders will no longer cover my tires.

wow, didn't know that. It's actually kind of suprising seeing how small the cherokee looks.

does it use the same steering knuckles as the dana 30?
keep 5 on 4.5?

I get it. . . .. LOL

Holy crap Jefe that is awesome man! So that thing has the same exterior mounts as the D30 huh. That's alot of money, but in my mind that is perfect. No cutting down, no buying adapters, just right! Very nice.

Here is a shot of a modified TJ suspension just for some ideas :D

Hey jeff?

Wouldn't just be easier to hit your brother over the head and take his jeep? :p Cheaper too!:D

He doesn't want a Jeep, he wants his Explorer! (to kick my Jeep's butt)

I'll be doing all the fab work myself, but yes, that is the plan. Thanks for the link.

no, I'm not even running a front axle right now :)

Hey Jefe, how are you not running a front axle right now? If the diff and half shafts are out how are you keeping the hub assembly together? Or are you just not driving it?
