oh that sucks...prob belongs in the whoops forum but hey it still sucks...

Edit: oh yeah your picture does not work.

thanks for the heads up about the pic...any idea of how i can get it on here for all to see....not exactly computer savy.

lets here some story on the accident...You can post in the wanted forum with the body parts that you need.

well there isnt to much of a story, the person in front of the car in front of me stopped suddenly at a red light, the car in front of me locked up her breaks and i was following to closely and wound up in her backseat, literally, i'll post more pics of the other cars. The car i hit was a Mazda 3, brand new, it had styrofoam under all the fenders, bumpers and everything else. I was pretty upset about that, thought it was some poor quality. I hot that car at no more than 15-20 MPH. I had some questions as far as, do you guys know how to install a billet grill with the black front clip that extends off of the stock grill and wraps around the head lights. i have only seen a billet with chrome around it, i think the black and chrome would look sharp. I was thinking about trying to fabricate something. Also, does anyone know what year front bumper would fit a 97? or does anyone know of a chart for what year parts fit my truck, i would like to update the front of the truck, make it look a little more modern. if anyone has any tips for some cheap updates, or just some comments let me know. thanks a lot!

I was able to get a grill, header panel, hood, and bumper for around $430 at a local junkyard. It broke down to something like 150 for the hood, 150 for the bumper, 80 for the header pane and 50 for the grill. The parts were in great shape but weren't the right color, I opted to paint them myself to save some dough. All the paint supplies plus the paint gun came to around $250. I have a few orange peel spots on the hood but considering it's my first attempt at doing car paint and that I saved about a grand doing it myself, I'll take it. You really can't tell unless you come up to the hood and look very closely. Hope that helps you out, good luck with it.

moving to body work...
for others to referance.

Well im going later on today(tuesday) to replace the radiator and try and pick up some parts from a junk yard. I'll let ya guys know what happens and how everything goes. Thanks for all the advice. If anyone has any tips for painting i would appreciate it, eventually im going to need them, im not sure with the amount of parts im replacing if it would be better to just pay to have he whole truck repainted eventually or try and paint it myself, not sure how realistic that is. thanks again!

The best touch-up paint ive seen is something my wife showed to me... fingernail polish. :) Just Kidding.

Check out MAACO, I just had them repaint my Neon. Cost me $350.

Ugh !!!!
Not the Macco discussion again.

I would not let Macco paint my daughters little red wagon.

Monmix, what would you suggest then as a reasonable paint job on alimited budjet? Is doing myself out of the wuestion or what? Let me know...

fly MONMIX to you and he'll paint for free! haha j/k probably not

its just the grill, bumper, and rad...? id say $200 from the JY

my cousin wrecked a 94 explorer and gave it to me. Had to replace hood, lights, grill, both fenders, bumper, and had to reweld the big radiator bracket support thing. Between JCwhitney and the junkyard, total fix without paint came to around $350. Turned around and sold it for a grand too.

i put an 00 limited bumper on my 95. made it look a whole lot newer, or at least i think so. dont have any pics of it yet though. i shopped (hard) for low prices and total with the cover, reinforcement and foglights, all shipped seperatly to me was about $260. plus then it had to be painted. i dunno, maybe you'll have more luck than me at the junkyards.
