Ok well here i was minding my own businees. When this guy pulls up in this dodge durango. Dont know too much about them but i am sure it was the one with the 5.9 in it. I should have asked but didnt. Well he goosed it. I didnt know for sure if he wanted to race me or just was playing around. I do it sometimes just messing around with my gas pedal. Well he takes off and i try to catch him but it is of no use. The guy had an easy 3 car length head start. So then i am like ok this guy DOES want to race. We get to the next light and we both gun it about the same time. I win that one. The third time he started a little earlier than me and barelyyyyyyyy walked me. We gave each other the thumbs up and just went out separate ways. I just thought it was cool to see another person with an SUV that actually races it. It did have a weird sounding exhaust note. Sounded as if a miniature jet was shoved up the tailpipe or something. Dont think it was a turbo or anything like that crap but it did sound weird. Either way i chalk that up as a tie between us 2. He gave me a good run and i gave him a damn good run too. Overall i was very surprised at his ability to keep up with me. Oh well he will sing a wayy different tune in a few weeks when the XB-1A is in and tuned. It would be cool to meet that dude again. He was cool as a fan. Gave each other the thumbs up and honked our horns to each other as he turned off. Wish more people liked to race. And i wish that when they did race me they wouldnt just get pissy and speed past and not even look over. I hate those types.
If it had the 5.9 then it more than likely had a sporty look to it and said R/T on the side. If not than it probably had the 5.2. My mom's cherokee has that and it hauls.
oh i guess i have a good one to add to my kill list.
I smoked a brand new 911 Carrera Convertable by about 2 car lengths to 120 mph out of the toll both. That was about 1 or 2 months ago, with the gf in the car. He had his gf and friend in the car, and i didn't really pull on him till 4th gear. I let off at 120 and he he went by giving me the "im not very happy look" then we both got off at the next exit, and thats when i noticed the nice new car plate. Needless to say i was dancing and he was probably crying. The week after i got the chance to race a Camaro SS. It was the middle of Buckhead and he was making a left, so we race for about 100 feet. He was about half a car length ahead by that time. God knows what he woulda done to me on the highway
This weekend I was driving my mom's X5 because the Explorer was out of commission (sp?), and on Saturday night I got reamed by a Cadillac Escalade EXT on the highway.

Actually, now that i think of it. He probably reamed ya a knew one since his car is mostly made of plastic. Weight reduction in Trucks.....the end of the world is near.
my boss has an X5, and i drove it once and have been in the car with him. I dont know how you lost dude, those things fly. He orderd a supercharger for it that boost the horse poor to over 400 horse.
The X5 has two engine choices. The base 3.0L straight 6 (241 bhp) which only provides mediocre performance and the 4.4L V8 (347 bhp) which will haul a$$.
2 mid 90's riced out civics, a 2001 mercury sable v6, and a 2001/2001 (not sure) bmw X5 3.0i .......... not bad for a for just an intake and exhaust :-D
