so who is up for it. Remember they are closing a few weeks later so this may be a last chance thing. I will be there friday night and stay till whenever sunday. If you don't know this is in San Diego County. I have a few pics of the area on my webpage listed below. Lets get a group going.

Sorry Rockranger, I have a weekend class, to finish a degree, that sat. and sunday. The following weekend or so?

(I was planning a trip on old Mojave Road for 3/30,31,4/1. Fri nite, sat nite under the stars. Come home sunday. Interested? I will post it.)

I go to school up at fresno state and my parents live down in San Diego where i will be for spring break working on my truck. April 6 is the beginning og my break. Sorry I won't be able to make the week before cause i have a ton of tests for school right before spring break. I will be down there for summer so maybe some other run then. Any one else want to go.

I'm in! My friend Defender Ray is in! (Also known as Bronco Ray, but this trip he's taking the Defender so as not to scratch the Bronco's purdy paint.) And from the talk in the other thread, Fenderguy, Tdavis, and RayH are in.

I'm working on it.. Still haven't fixed the front locker (next week), still have a few clutch problems (grabby, won't shift, clutch needs to be bleed down..)

I am meeting with a Ford represenatative and dealership managaement next weeek to resolve my front end problems.....hopefully have 4 wheel up and running.....

i have also been looking at that Atlas II transfer case swap.....maybye lockers first i dunno

I will try and make los coyotes....sounds like a chance to run some trails I havent and wont be able to run again

I'm on track on getting my front locker replaced (hopefully this week!).

Got new tires/rims coming, so this should be interesting!

OH, and I even got the time off, so I'll be there.. and I'll be camping. Planning on coming down on friday, camping friday night, saturday night, head back north on Sunday morning.

Are the trails hard?...or well, how about anything i could do without being a pain? I'm going to check the funds or even see what my dad is doing. If any i could be a passenger with someone driving.

Depends on the trails we decide to run. There are few I ran in 2wd cause i broke the front a few times. I will more than likely have an open seat out there if you want to ride with me. Also depends on how hard you drive and how much skinny petal you give it.

I'm gonna be there! - Saturday only...

I will be accompanying this group run, along w/Adam [Suzanne's brother], and a nice middle-aged couple from San Jose [Andrew & Gretchen]. Andrew drives a tricked out '86 J*#p CJ and is eager to see this park before it gets shut down to the 4X4's. He's a great guy that I have had to good fortune of traveling with. Come to think of it, he's 'wheeled with a certain TDavis out in Panamint in November. I'll be getting married the next day, so I can't damage the truck, at least I promised I wouldn't! This is gonna be fun!

Looks like we are going to have a nice turn out on this run. I have a toyota and a YJ that might be joining me out there as well.

What trails does everyone want to run. I would like to run down tobbogan hill and past bagsbys rock I think that is it only ran it once want to get another run on it.

Also A few of the other trails out past el hill and all the other trails in the back I haven't run would like to do those as well.

Another Explorer added to the run!

Dan Wilson just told me on the phone yesterday that he will be joining us for the run. His Explorer is still stock, but he is definitely willing to make the best of it. After the run Saturday will be my bachelor party! Yea! We'll be camped out in Dan's guesthouse down in Palm Springs Friday and Saturday night.

Hey Ken that sounds good. Were you the one that I said I would have a spare tire for? If it was I don't think I am going to. I have one that I am keeping for myself which has less than 1/4 of its tread and all the others are trashed just about to have bels showing. Sorry I can't help you out there. Concrats on getting married.

One other note. I hope none of you mine that Iwill be joining you with no tools to repair anything. My truck got broke into last week and they took all of my tools. Insurance might replace some but I won't find out till after the run when I am at my parents for spring break.

hey rockranger, no problem on the tools. I'll be bringing some, since this will be the first major wheel for the truck since truckhaven - and I've changed some things since there (tires, front locker, onboard-air)

I've changed my schedule some - heading down on thursday night/friday morning, stoping at Perry's Fab&Fiber for fenders, heading over to los coyotes friday night, and not heading back till monday (taking andrew's wife home, so he can head upto moab)

going to be fun!

truck is in the shop right now getting some mods done...(hopefully ARB in da rear)
and some other little things......what part of Cali is this place in (how far from Phoenix?)

How long are most people staying there?....campground area...just some general site information would be helpfull

Okay, Ship, here's some info for ya. I don't know driving time from AZ, but you went to T-haven. Another 30 minutes east is Borrego Springs. Los Coyotes is in the mountains right above Borrego to the west, figure another 45-60 minutes. Check a map.

It's $12 a night to camp. It's a nice campground with trees and stuff, but semi-primitive, - only portapottys.
There'll be some people there Friday nite I think, and more on Sat. nite.

Locker or not, you'll have a blast!
