Just saw this over on Pirate, posted from a TDS member that Los Coyotes will open the weekend of 12/17-20

"Reservation will be open to wheeling 12/17-20. $16 per night. If this works out look forward to other dates to wheel there."

Wish my rig was operational, this place is fun fun fun if you can make it out there.

EDIT:;)

..If anyone wants to go, I just received an email from Bambikiller with the res.link and all the info...PM me with your email and I can forward it...

...Bambikiller is itching to go and is hoping others from here will join in...:biggthump

...I'm out as I need to be working on one truck and keep the other for DD, at least for a bit longer...:(

Man, I've been remembering this place alot lately. Lots of great times up there.
Hopefully, that part about "If this works out look forward to other dates to wheel there" happens, and there will be other chances.

Yeah, we had some real good wheelin' trips there...remember Jaime's wheelstand? I have a pic somewhere of that:p:

I am very interested I might be able to swing saturday just for the day. Need to check a few work things first. I am sure it will probably be a traffic jam but I am interested in going out there anyway. I wouldn't mine giving a shot at El Hill again. Maybe even Bagsbys rock. Hope I can remember my way around out there again.

Who else wants to go.

...Bambikiller says he's planning on this trip...

.....I'll see if he can jump in on this thread..

Who else wants to go.

I'll go if you have an open seat. The thread on Pirate says all the trails aren't open yet due to overgrowth so not sure exactly what's open.

Will have an open seat. However I don't get off a plane till 10:45 friday night. Home sometime after midnight. Then load the truck and do the hour or so drive out and be there by 8 am might make it a bit tough. I might try and go on Sunday if there is others out there.

Fun out there today. Met DB1 out there and ran with with two toyotas. Not very many people on a Sunday. It rained and was windy the entire time. Went up towards the tower till we hit dangerous road. Went down that then headed over to El hill. I almost pull off a climb on the steep right side till my drivers front tire went flat. Added plugs to it to try and hold air but to no avail. Ended up putting my spare on. Then we headed out and went down toboggan hill towards bagsby's rock. While doing that I got dirt in the bead on the two passenger side tires. Now neither one will hold air. I also couldn't get up flat going under bagsby's rock so I drove under with two passenger tires in the bottom of the V notch and the two drivers side in the air :D Broke out more of the rear tail light and took some paint off the cab and passenger door. We headed back to the trailer totally soaked. We did all that in about 4 hours.

Fun stuff I hope it is open again sometime.

Sounds like a good time, Matt! Either of you take any pics? :D

I think dave might have taken a few pictures/videos. We were busy just keeping air in the tires. The brush was pretty thick. Lots of pin striping on the trails.

I just saw that he posted them on the pirate thread. Can't believe you tried El Hill when it's wet! Scary enough when dry.
Hopefully they'll allow more runs there coming up. I'd love to go back.

I took a few pics, nothing exciting but took some video that i'm uploading on youtube right now. I'll post up when i'm done.

It was good to be back there again, can't believe we did those trails as messy as they were. El Hill was as intimidating as I remembered it then add rain into the mix:eek: Not sure I would've tried it in my truck.

Should have told Dave to bring his tires off the Ranger to swap on for the run:p:
