QUOTE]
ok the route ima go is ima upgrade the wire to the solenoid so im upgrade the wire from the alt should i also upgrade the wire from battery to soleniod? (the one that splits before meeting the wire for alt) and once i do that and that one ground to the fender would that complete the big 3?

It couldn't hurt to upgrade the wire from bat to solenoid.

From what I've read on the big 3 its just the grounds. Battery to body, frame to body or battery, and engine to frame or battery.

That braided groung bolts to the back side of your drivers side head. It provides a ground path between the body and block.

Read over this thread. I have it marked for when I go to do the big three. This Link.

It's not for first gens but everything is basically the same for this mod just the location and routing of the wires changes.

Also the Big 3 Is Not Just Grounds , 1 Its Main power from battery to Solenoid , 2 From Solenoid To Alt . 3 From Battery Ground - To Frame , Just To Make everything clear , Me and My Best Friend put 8 15"s In a 05 Expedition With Over 16000 Watts . Every Wire Counts When It Comes To Making Power And Keeping (Safe) Power

thanks man will do, you've been a big help thru this process

Well yesterday I got my tranny out to change my tc and but before I reinstall it I dropped it off to fordexplorerguy1 he's going to check the inside of the tranny before I put it back in and find out there is. Ima go the route of adding another tranny cooler aswell and that will be it for the tranny "HOPEFULLY". then my next 3 major projecst is replacng the cat converter, sending unit/fuel pump, and adding a hood scoop just so my engine can beathe a little more. Being here in nc and having my truck black doesn't help so stay tuned

Glad to see He's helping you out , Might have to bring him a trans from Ga haha JK , But glad to see more progress , My power steering pump Just stopped working , no reason at all why it just all of the sudden stop pumping ?

yea me too, hes a big help. wow thats crazy, I thought my pump was bad but it was just leaking but im glad I found a little hole in one of the lines so it was a quick fix

well I got my tranny back from (fordexplorerguy1) today I will be doing the install on saturday hope it will go in as easy as it came out since its my 2nd time taking it out and putting it in.
But I have a question, Ive been wanting to lower my ex since I flipped my last explorer. Im wanting to do blocks in the back and lowering springs in front.
ive done my research and I know since I have a 4x4 I can only lower 2" which is fine as of now the 4x4 doesnt work but will these springs work on a ex?

just cut some coils off the springs

I thought about that, but everytime I asked around people would say "it's not a good idea to cut them cause the mounts can shift and it would be unsafe"

would those fit?
