Bummer, but I understand. I'm going on a shoestring. I'll be charging most of the expenses cuz I'm broke, and if I break... :( :frustrate

I wonder how much diesel is in NV/UT.. It's outrageous here right now, $2.35/gal and climbing.

Dangit Randall I was really hoping to see you there. :( but I understand the "cannot afford it" thing; I hate to guess what Ashli and I will be spending just on gas

Gjarrett

Since your getting married and your a Texan and all. I figured you'd definitely be passing the boot around so everyone could drop in a little something for your wedding gift or is that something that happens just in my family (maybe I've been lied to and its not a Texan thing). ;)

We also hear the "can't afford it" thing... Too much work, not enough time and gas going through the roof, but we are going anyway... :)

Well the Ex looks a lot more like a big dog this morning. The body lift is in there, now I just have to tidy up a few things like the steering extension and carpet replacement. A couple of those old body mounts really fought! Had to torch one out, and use some "force" on a couple others. The Ex now sits up in the range that my truck normally occupies. With all this work, the body lift was the single most expensive item, however, and my son's discount really helped.

Now it is on to bumpers, a grill, brake line re-location, and some other random issues...

MOAB here we come...

Gl, I hope you can do a test on that before leaving, with all the stuff you`re doing. Hate to hear you broke down somewhere along the way because of something you could have caught earlier.

The long range weather forecast for Moab says great wether for our weekend!

I believe I `m fully ready to go, my to-do list is done, I bought a couple spare parts today, and replenished my toolbox of lost items.

As for money, What money?

Heck thats some cheap gas! I am gonna bring some extra tanks and haul some of that cheapo UT gas home! hahaha CA is EXPENSIVE!!

Bill if you break down I have an open seat :) hahaha
We'll be okay, with all our spare parts we'll get you home!
No wonder you want so much for those 35's!!!

Hahaha just kidding I am not complaining :)

I thought I was going to be ready with plenty of time to spare. . .however UPS lost my new high-steer knuckles :fire:, and the supplier won't be able to get another set out for another week, so I got to order yet another knuckle today , which will hopefully be here by Tuesday, since we're planning to leave Wednesday.

I wanna wheel! :bounce:

well Jefe Bill and I are leaving bright and early Thurs so if you get delayed you can join our caravan....

Gerald, sorry to say, but Char won't be able to join us :( She can't get the time off work since she already took so much off for her surgery this quarter.

Well... so far so good - got the truck back on the road today - no adverse issues except a little hitch in the steering from stretching the column out. I think a minor readjustment will suffice. The truck is starting to look like a big dog now...

Thanks for the advice Jim. We plan to take a test run Sunday afternoon to our favorite local haunt to stretch things out a bit.

Rick, sorry to hear about Char not being able to make the trip. I was looking forward to meeting her.

Rick, I'm really disappointed to hear that. Especially since my wife is coming on this run, partially to prove to you and Char that I actually HAVE a wife! :D

Rick, you need to record char yelling "DRIVERS MEETING!"

Hurry days, I'm ready. I can't wait to go, I love offroading and watching offroading especially when there is great rigs doing it. Ricks rig is pretty awsome and I was wanting to look at jefe's as well (havn't seen it in person since Arizona). So it's gonna be great offroading with other Xploders again. Can't wait to see ya there.

hey Msupertek your not excited to go are you??? :) lol

I was just thinking that. Then you can play it back over your nifty new sound system :)

And I wanna see [whats left of] your Rig too. :)

I get to finish re-wiring the radios and my new fancy roll cage dome light tomorrow, touch up some paint spots, and start packing.

3 more working days till I leave for Moab..

Almost forgot, I also get to change out the fuel pedal on the SD.. The plastic broke off, and only one way to fix is to replace the whole assembly.

Some of you know my folks and they were planning on going, but my dad isn't getting around well enough with his knee surgery so mom called and cancelled there reservations. I wish they could have made it but I wouldn't want my dad getting hurt by falling because he couldn't catch his ballance. So far his surgery has gone really well and it's been 6 weeks and the doctor said it takes 9 months to be completely healed so he is doing well but not well enough for uneven ground.

Today I change the oil, check the coolant, and of course wash "THEEEEEE PURPLE" explorer and we will be ready to head out early Friday morning.
I figure we will get there around 3-4 ish and hopefully can go play around on Fins-n-things before dark so if anyone else is in town and wants to go look for us. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Also it is looking more like Jeff (co-worker) will be riding with us instead of bringing his own Jeep, I think he is a little nervous and he said he doesn't have the money for new tires. At least we will be able to show him a good time and the hole time he will be saying; DAMN I WISH I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT MY OWN VEHICLE!!!!!!!!!! ;)

SEE EVERYONE IN LESS THEN A WEEK!!! We are excited specially after missing the last two years!!!!

Well, THE ATLAS IS IN, WOOHOO!! :D

I guess I am going to miss Gerald tie the not on Top Of The World :( , but I will be there on saturday morning to meet up with everyone. Good luck Gerald you are definately going to need it ;)

Oh and for the hard core I found this picture yesturday, it is on upper helldorado.....looks like fun ;)
