Been there seen that several times:D

ouch

TALK about the wrong approach
go SLOW and hook up a strap to keep the front end down.....would have made it just fine that way.....

You dont punch the gas

You think insurance will cover that? (this is a serious question, somebody answer).

But yeah, he could have made it if he didn't give so much gas.

Repost indeed... from months ago, maybe even a year or more...

No. He would need an accident report. If he got one it would say he was offhighway when it happened, and he would be screwed...

:burnout: I've been close to that when I had my TJ. I've seen a couple of Xterras do that in the passed...I can feel for the guy but that spotter needs to go!

Saw that coming.

Talk about the wrong kind of friends...one has a strap and doesn't use it...the other stands there even after his buddy crashes. Kid is luck to not break a neck.

perhaps if he realized he was in the air quick enough he could have saved himself by throwing the transmission in reverse and gassing it

By the time his brain went "Oh S**t, this is bad" he was already over and done. You wouldn't have enough time to do that.........

not much think put into that one,, too much gas, not enuff brain,, ,

hope he had a 2nd car lined up that sux though

Everyone blames the spotter, but don't quite know the whole story from what we can see. I know I've been off-roading in the past where you offer someone a strap, they don't want it... you offer them an easier line, they don't want it. Ultimately on something especially like that it is 100% driver. What the hell would the spotter do anyway? "OK, GO STRAIGHT!"
