I don't know what your crying about, my explorer has more body damaged and I haven't rolled it. (knock on wood). :p:

Shacklewhacker!!!!!

And for those that don't know....Doug is personally responsible for a shortage of Explorer taillights...:D

Doug, your truck smells like a *****..

Biggs, ROP membership requires at least a picture of said flop/roll, I think :D

Or at the very least, the founding member spotting you through a camcorder causing you to

To me it looks like you have more options now of making that thing a real OFF ROAD MACHINE!!!!
I would love to have a 2-door to make into a off road wheeling machine.
You can always repair the vehicle, its just good to see you weren't hurt.

The "Recovery team" definitely Stuck the landing just like an Olympic Gymnast! I see from the pics you tried to to do an angled winch pull to right the X from the original path it rolled. Why didn't this work and could a heavy duty hand winch have helped at all?

With a look on his face of "Just a little bit more, little bit more...yes, I got him!" :D

I remember asking Marcy (the owner of the Cherokee that pulled me back over) and Rookie if they had any friends with bigger trucks and heavier winches... my answer was, "If we did, don't you think we would've called them already?"

A coworker of mine suggested an interesting trick that I wish we could have tried: Find a long, very sturdy solid pipe and somehow wiggle it between the frame rails so that you can winch to the pipe and use it as leverage to pull the vehicle back over. Sounds crazy but it might've worked :p: The way we were pulling Morgan made his front left tire dig into the wall that he tipped over on instead of pulling the right side back down to the ground. Theoretically, we might have been able to drag him backwards a few feet and tried the angled winching again, but we were all getting really sunburnt and exasperated (me especially!).

wow, the complete roll to get out of it? That had to be a tough decision to make. Was the rollover on the same obstacle that you drove up on your other myspace video?

so after 3 hours of trying, I made the decision to roll him all the way.

Haha.... You didnt make that decision, we kinda threw the strap from the other side and told you to get the camera ready. :D

You know, you're right... my decision was, "Roll the damn thing off the cliff!" :D

Oh, man, that pains me to watch LOL!! I seriously thought it was going to go over again though... that last flop had a lot of momentum!!

Oh, and I think it definately qualifies for the ROP. No question about that... But I, too, believe it's a first to have a 3/4 dismount off the other side!!

When you were winching, what was the cable connected to, and why didn't the 'around the corner' pull work? I would have tried to get another truck around the other side, looped a cable or strap around the bottom rear wheel to anchor it in place, then pulled on the top wheel until she flopped back upright.

Also, there's a dozen ways around it if you had a block and tackle... double the line halves the speed but doubles the power.

For all those who comment on the winching, trust me. There was no other way should of a large winch we didnt have that the truck was going over without more damage to it or risking damage/fall off cliff from another truck. It was the best way.

In a pic somewhere you can see the winch line runs through my bumper's d ring and then to her frame.

Is there any other streeter besides me that is a part of the ROP? Do I get any special status based on the number of times I consecutively rolled my old X? :D

Lets just say that it was more than this: :exp:  :exp:  :exp:  :exp:  :exp:

;)

BTW. Spas, you are in the ROP as far as I am concerned. Especially after you rolled the truck over the rest of the way while flipping it back upright. Guts.

Guts? I'd say it qualifies for insanity, lol. I must've missed something, when did you roll yours?? (And I SINCERELY hope I never join the ROP with my street truck!!!! )

I used to have a red 2000 5.0 Explorer with quite a few power mods done to it including cam, rr's, flashtune and chip, and custom XB-1A centrifugal supercharger along with quite a bit of other stuff too. Almost had it all buttoned up when I took it on a roadtrip and ended up rolling it on the interstate about 4 times. This was about 4 years ago.
