Replacing seats on my mercury mountaineer. . Anybody got any detailed pics or info I could use?

Replacing standard grey seats non heated because the drivers seat is crooked and the leather is ripped.

Ideally the new seat fits the existing mechanism without too much modification.

A totally acceptable option is to go to amazon and buy some seats, but the bolt pattern and the ability to keep the power mechanism is the question.. . .

Find some seats at junk yard wrecker or eBay
Can even look at private party parting out rigs on Craigslist or Facebook

Sport Trac seats 02-05 are the best!

Some rangers had buckets until 2011 that will work also

With the late model sport and sport Trac, 02-04 you would have a bolt in seat and retain all the functions of the factory 01 seat

Also
Local upholstery shop… you maybe surprised how cheaply seats can be rebuilt and upgraded

I have put Lincoln navigator full power
Leather buckets with heat and cooling into my 97 f350
I have also put 2014 Mazda tribute seats and center console into a 2006 ranger
So anything is possible, not easy, but possible

Yes exactly

Most ford buckets from 91-01
Explorer, 96-01 mounty, 98-11
Ranger and 02-05 sport and sport Trac will bolt to your 01 mountaineer power seat base… they all have a very similar bolt pattern for the 4ea 10mm bolts that go vertically into the seat base. Sometimes we simply need to drill two holes to make a sport bucket fit a. 4 door power seat bracket and vise versa
