Come on guys dont be selfish and hold all the major runs out west.

And transportation wouldnt be too bad if everyonw found a tow rig and loaded 2-3 rigs on a car trailer and split gas. Figure 300 per person in gas that way. But by holding the run in one of the western states all the esat coasters have to drive 2000 miles one way. that is a **** load of gas and i have to change my oil while im out there at some point.

I voted badlands...hopefully i'll have the swap done by next year.

i'll try not to barf in my tent again though :D

a night run would be pretty bad ass too, again...if the swap is done I may actually be able to do it LOL

I voted for Moab. Never been there. Done lotsa trails in Colorado already. Plus, I'm working on a 2006 week long 4-5 trail run in Colorado for B2.org so I'd love to go somewhere different.

I'm votin' for Moab for now. I need to get my arse out there sometime. Although Truckhaven & Attica sounds very tempting.

Rick,

If the vote came out to be in a place like truckhaven or moab where we usually have one big run a year, would it be combined with that one or be a seperate run?

You could get 4 days in at Badlands. If it rains the trails become a whole different story. Troy (who owns badlands) will work out a night run. We had over 30 rigs run the night run at the RRORC event last month. It's a totally different experience wheeling at night. If it ends up being a really big turnout, not everyone will run the same trails at the same time. That will make it take longer to get through all of them.

I want to wheel out west someday, but till I get my tow rig done, I have to vote for Badlands. Not to mention I only live 20 miles away from there.

IF it ends up here I would be willing to do any local stuff we need to make it happen.

Gilmer,TX does sound very tempting. About 1300 miles from Baltimore.

PNW comon guys I dont drive a civic

It would be combined. In other words, the January T-haven run would become the 10th anniversary run. If it's Moab we would run that about the same time of year we have been, but hopefully a little earlier.

Us west coaster have the same problem with badlands. It's over 2000 miles away. :(

BUt you guys already have a majority of the runs out there, bring it east and enjoy some Southern Comfort.

I think that we should split this thing up and make a real big deal about it. All the West Coast boys have a meeting wherever and split it up so the East coast boys can have one to. I would love to come but living in NC makes it to hard on me to drive to Texas or wherever. Plus gas is to high to drive any farther for me than about VA or so.

I hate to throw a wrench in the works. It is just not feesable for some East Coasters to travel that far West as well as the West Coasters to travel this far East. How about having two different runs on the same day. One closer to the West Coast for that contingent and one closer to the East coast for the rest of us.

Just a thought.

Sorry Dopler I missed your Post but I'm glad to see someone else has the same Idea.

Texas

I definatly think either north Texas or Southern Indiana. :navajo:

AZ has some amazing trails!!!! hint hint!!

I vote for truck haven!

But i think 2 runs on either side of the country at once would be cool

makes no sense if I would vote - too far to go from GE :(

You're right... and even if the big run doesn't end up here we need to wheel

i like the two runs idea. we could probably get it mentioned in the press somewhere with that many trucks moving
