By the way, for the people who knew my truck, it is no longer 4WD. I saw it last week and the guy took the t-case, diff. and axles out and it looks like a piece of **** now. Non matching wheels and missing fenders. Made me sad.
:frustrate :(

Why the heck would he take out the 4WD stuff??

Even though its a long drive i think i will only make a day out of it, i have no camping supplies and cant afford a hotel, so i will just be there on sat.

BTW i fully intend to hang out with the 2wd guys....just so i can make them all look bad :p :D

Dave, I don't have a rig yet, but I might be able to borrow someone's, which has a broken 4WD also. So I would only be on the 2WD run as well. Unless you think my A4 Avant *quattro* has enough clearance.

Jefe, I have no idea why he would take out the 4WD. I'm guessing he's going to use it to deck it out Prerunner style.

I did see a Subaru WRX out at the MDR 200 this past weekend, he seemed to be doin alright!! :D Sure did surprise the hell out of me tho!

That's cool Colin, always nice to thrash on other peoples stuff ;)

I think we are on the forefront of a new trend...4wd's that don't have working 4wd :p.

I will cruz out Friday night or more likely early saturday morining. Camp sat. (Now that I have a tent) and out sunday afternoon. ;)

Looks like I may be busy with my tow strap :D

Heh, this sounds like fun. I will go if I can!

Well I am in with the trend of non working 4 wheel drive's. I should be picking up my front axle this weekend, but there is no way it will be in the truck before October 31st. I am going to try and make it for Saturday, if the wife will let me out the house.

So who IS 4WD? LOL
Its alright though. I can keep up with the best of you in the washes :burnout: :bounce: :bounce: :D

Just have to be a little more careful about where I'm going ->
(wow, that was the last time I was at T-haven. . .seems like years ago)

Should I just bring my wife's Explorer so I part of 2wd crowd! :p

the more 2wd cars out there the better us stock 4x4's will look:p

I will very likely be there (along with my wife and two dogs) for at least one day if not overnight. I also recently regained power to the front wheels, so with any luck I will not be 2wd

Any info on camping from those (most of you) who've been to Truckhaven before? Should we presume non-reserve, primitive GC?

There's usually very few people out there unless its a major weekend so finding a spot to camp is never a problem...so no reservations or anything like that needed. We generally camp out in the same area whenever we all get together for runs. When you turn onto N. Marina drive the road will be paved
for a ways then it will turn into a dirt road, you'll see a hill dead ahead and the road will split there. Take the right side of the split and we camp out off to the right somewhere.
Camping is very primitive out there, and like RockRanger said before there's bathrooms, a general store/gas station and a burger joint a mile or so down on the opposite side of the highway from where you would turn into T-haven.

Hey Jefe, I'm going to ask Paul if I can borrow his Ex, if so, we'll see about the washes. :burnout: :D
I was wondering about that. . .well if thats the case I'll TRY to keep up.

I bet our wheel travel is about the same, but that 8" of width up front is a definite advantage over me. We may have to go find some nice whoops sections to compare IFS to SFA. ;)

I think we are gonna have to have some drags on the washes :p
