I am looking forward to seeing if the setup will fit under the cowl hood with the intercooler that you posted a picture of.
If you could go out and just buy the intake, intercooler, and supercharger and they all just work (without modification) with a custom-made adaptor plate that would be a game changer. On the water methanol topic, I spray before the throttle plate. It has worked well for me, but I heard some spray right after the throttle plate. If your water methanol nozzle is after the throttle plate you will need a solenoid to prevent the vacuum from sucking the fluid out of the line when it is idling etc.
Good luck on the work and test fitting!
cant say for sure or not this would fit under a cowl hood with that intercooler. anything is possible. the snow has melted enough that i can get the hood open and do more measuring on height. i cant remember if i used a meth kit on my m90, but i did with my m112, the problem is i cant remember where. i think before the throttle blade but not sure. i do remember the rotors having the teflon stripped off them, so i thought it was because of the cooler water meth hitting hot rotors.
spent some time in the gas chamber today (and if you dont know why i call it the gas chamber, my heater is propane. when i walked out of there i was kinda tired, headache and achy. know what i mean....). i started with pushing the hub onto the shaft. i also had to do a redo. after looking at things, i had to flip the pulley backwards, and still push the blower back. because if that all my holes were in the wrong spot. problem one.
the inside of the pulley has a shoulder on it. with that there the bolts didnt fit, so a little clearance had to be done.
with that done, i figured i would leave some room at the front of the plate. i knew i had a lot of overhang at the back anyway. also it was a lot easier to do the holes for the intake first, then bolt it on and do the holes for the blower by figuring out how far back or forward it needed to be, clamping it to the plate drilling one hole taping it, then bolting it down and doing the next one. it worked well.
i didnt totally escape without a little modding.
after moving the blower back as far as i could on the plate (you can see the notch in it and it stops at the actual intake) it wouldnt lay flat. after looking and looking i found that little bump in the bottom of the rotor pack.
all better now.
with the hub pressed on level with the end of the shaft, the blower pushed as far back without cutting the tab off (and i really dont want to cut it off) laid the blower on the mount and bolted it down.
it sits on it fairly nice. i might have to press the hub back a little more but will have to see once a belt is on. i even had to grab my 8 rib crank pulley off evil while it sat outside. not fun. i ended up lining everything up by laying a strait edge over the face of the crank pulley and on the blower pulley.
still have to drill a couple more holes, and will also have to get a couple welded over and start again as well as cut the opening for the exhaust port of the blower. had to walk out for the night because as mentioned i could literally feel carbon monoxide poisoning coming over me. will cut the openings tomorrow as well as a cut the fat off the plate so make it a little smaller and any sharp edges hopefully.
