Wiggle the stuff in the fuse box… my bii when she sits outside the power diode and fuel pump fuse get white corrosion on the prongs. I clean them up, bend some tabs for a tighter connection and then … she’s good as new

funny you mention that because i did that a little earlier this morning. for those that dont know there is a 40 amp fuse (going from memory) as well as a relay before going out to the pump. sat in the truck, turned the key with the relay in my hand. could feel it click then 5 seconds went by with another click meaning it was telling the pump to cycle. i also checked the fuse and it wasnt blown. im also throwing out the rodent thing because if that was the case it shouldnt have started.
i also have a used spare pump that was in dono's truck when i had it. i am going to try to syphon the tank before i drop it. something tells me i tried that once and it didnt work. this is also starting to sound like a weekend problem.

I tried to siphon mine the other week and couldn't get the hose in it either. I've been looking for a fuel leak because it smells like gas in the garage for a couple days after I cycle the key a couple times and it looses fuel prime after it sits for a couple days. I ran out of time to troubleshoot it and haven't been back to it for a while.

i think either pump will not hold prime. the walbro never did, neither did the stealth.
i will either need to get this pump changed right away and punt evil out of the back yard or finish it all (which i think would take over a month) because what has 2 thumbs and just bought another truck to fix and flip?

👍👍

Good luck on the fuel pump diag and fix, I hope you get it done without too much trouble. Picture of the new fix and flip?

will need that. when the pump died, temps outside were around or just a tad above freezing (0C or around 32F).
as i post this, its -14C (7F). im not even gong to think about going outside to change that. if it would warm up, i would man up, but not in that weather!
this is the pictures from the add.

pretty sure one chain is gone because i can hear it rattling but that also was on a cold start and it has been sitting since summer. he said he had one replaced and things they screwed it up (i told him you should do both at the same time). it starts, idles fine, once past 2500 rpm motor shakes and runs rough. no misfire codes, but has a p0320 and p0446 code. will try a few things to see if it can run better, otherwise i have a spare motor i was keeping for my ranger that i will put in it. it needs a few spots blown in with paint otherwise not bad shape for a 2010.

Nice! Love the color match mirrors and wheels
Sohc engines are a dime a dozen lol lol
2010 one of the last good ones!!!

ive only had one silver ranger in the past. not easy to color match either. as for motors, the sohc's up here are getting harder to come across. or at least affordable. i have a friend that works at a wrecker. i called him before i bought this (just out of curiosity to see what the going rate is for one. $1000-1500. i almost fell over. the one i have in my shed i picked up from i guy i buy my tires from and also picked up a few 4L's in the past (at he time he rebuilt totaled 05-12 mustangs) for 400 with trans.

See! $400 bones w trans! We only pay the $1500 if we are desperate
I’m always finding 04-06 explorers rolled over or t boned. I get the engine, converters and the seats and sell the irs parts and trans to recoupe the $$$

some days your the lawnmower, some days your the dog poop on the lawn....
i panicked. i had a order of small parts coming from summit that was shipping on monday. i called to see if i could add a fuel pump, which i was able to. in that time it picked at me about the pump failing. they arent cheaply made pumps. its barely over a year with not a lot of mileage on it.
messaged 410 and asked if you wire the holley fuel pump relay in, does it bypass the factory relays and fuses. his answer was if you do it a certain way it will keep the factory fuse, relay and enursa switch. driving me nuts, i walk out, look at the fuse in the distribution box. its good. swap the stock fuel pump relay with one thats working, turn the key.........
fuel pump primes.....the swear words floating in my head could not become verbal. the neighbours have young kids that were outside. turn the key and yup, fired up. call summit to cancel the fuel pump, and it had shipped out that morning.
fine.
onto the battery box. today was super nice out, so that was going to get tackled first. start reading the instructions when i notice it says, "box is not sealed and not for in cabin use". da hell? great. i also bought a relocation kit that i cant use and also cant return because i bought it in the summer.
oh, its also suppose to snow (they have also said that for the past week which doesnt help at all) i believe tonight tomorrow and friday.
so yea, this week has been like this

1 step forward, a couple backward..

Can just use a sealed battery? Agm? They don’t vent like a flooded lead acid

My battery is in the cabin no box .. I just drive with a window cracked

dont want to chance it if i go to the races and wont let me down the track because of that. i am already pushing it with the speed it goes lol.

We use AGM batteries inside the cab of semi trucks at work (that's how they come from the factory). They are in a steel box under the passenger seat, but it isn't sealed.

I run these in my generator dozer and excavator
They really seem to handle the cold well
Avail at the local tractor supply with good warranty

I had one in the bronco ii need to go back to it

there was no snow on evil yesterday. why? i took it and washed all the dust off. this was also taken 2 hours ago. will see what it looks like tomorrow. once again, looks like i wont be doing anything to it this weekend.....

would you believe a optima yellow top is more then the battery box i need?
yes, i believe it. That's what we run in the cabs of our semi's.. very expensive.
