Oh ya, forgot to update, the whine on deceleration was my u-joint on the axle end of the driveshaft. It was worn slap out, but its ok now, no noises/clunks.

Drives good ;).

After all that great fab work, why are you going with an off the shelf bumper? Just wondering why you don't make your own.

i agree...

and its gonna look dumb with the BL...

If i made my own i would use tubing. There is NO WHERE to buy tubing around here. Then I would need a bender. Don't want to/have the $$ to buy all the tubing and bender.

I have 4x4 1/4" box tubing, but the bolt pattern is 10 x 4.5" It would look ghetto as #### peicing together that 4x4 with another L peice so I could get the bolts in. It was 80$.

Who says I can't change the mounts on the bumper to comphensate for the b/l?

Georgia Steel, Huff Rd ATL 404-355-9510
2 x 2 x1/4 wall $3.90 a ft
1 1/2 x 0.83 wall $1.03 a ft
Just outside of the GT campus in downtown. They have or can get whatever you need.

you can change the mounts just fine for the body lift. That's what I did when I had a BL on mine.
I've got some 1/4" plate I could let go of that is big enough to do the 10 x 4.5 mounting holes. I know you said you ordered the Warn thing but I figured I'd let you know anyway.

Took it to mild2wild today to flex it out. Nothing too impressive. But got it measured for shocks in the rear. Got some shocks and tabs for the rear also. Still dunno about the front, i'm gonna find a set of f250 towers to see if I can make them fit and then measure it again.

I need to cut the bolt holding the drag link to the pitman arm, it still hits under flex, one of the reasons its not flexing as much as it could.

well the rear flexes pretty good ? how does it drive on the road now ? any turning difference ?

that thing can flex ohh my god that thing is bad azz

Dude, you've gotta do something about the single fog light. It's killing me.

full sas and youre worried about the foglight...

Is that right before a tire comes off jey??

oo also did you test flex by liftin one of the rear tires as well? you probably wont see full droop at the fron unless you do...

ya i did, but didn't take any pics.

I gotta get my f250 shock towers and figure out how/where exactly i'm mounting them, before i go back and flex it again, and measure/order/install whatever the front shocks.

edit: Ya thats almost right before a tire came off the ground. If it has weight in the back i'm sure it'll flex more than that.

Got my winch carrier today. It's not a bumper, so everyone freaking out about me "buying" a bumper can let out a sigh of relief.

Tomorrow i'll be making the mounts and installing the carrier and the winch itself. and welding the tabs and mounting the rear shocks. I gotta find me some f250 shock towers and get them mounted, then go re-measure for the front shocks.

I have some F-250 towers. I was going to use them on my Samurai but I'm going tube instead.

dude the work.. need more info on the ram steering, if i missed it just tell me.. nice i like it. I want to do this

sweet ride man, you made it look all too easy w/o the help of a fab shop to work in!!

ah thanks man. I did have some good friends help me here and there along the way.

Just goes to show ya don't need a big expensive shop to work in. Albeit there are alot of guys on this board who did their work outside, in a driveway. I'm definately not the first and only one to do it.
