Color's Run at Tellico - Oct 10-12

Well my dates are looking pretty crumby. I forgot that my wife had bought us tickets for the US womens cup soccer team in columbus the last weekend of sept. Then the weekend before that is Toyota day (mother in law works for them) at Kings Island in Ohio, they close whole park down for 3 toyota plants to come and enjoy the day. It is awesome! So maybe next time.

But i'll keep my eye on the thread incase something changes.

true!

VAVB (Brian),

You had better check your map. When I lived up there (Newport News) it took me 10 hours to get to Tellico (I live in Memphis now). Don't get me wrong, it's still worth every nerve deading, eardrum poping, kidney shaking minute of driving to get there.

I like October better too. It will be better for camping, may even get cold at night! :D Plus that gives me a little more time to tear into my locker problem.:hammer:

what kind of trail is this Windrock?...if I have my skid plates and tires by then I am all for it, and if it is stocker doable, I am all for putting the new car through its paces.

Tellico is out of the question though haha.

I will be in Harrisonburg though, thats a straight shot down 81 to 40 and then some back roads to get there, at least as far as I know. I am still doing some research on travel and other fees in hopes that I can make it there.

Putting my name in and a serious intent on being there:D But, as usual, too soon for me to tell just yet...

Hey Caleb, try and get some sliders for this one. You don't want to get anymore rocker panel area damage.

I like the weekend of Oct. 11 too.

Gerald, you gonna do this one and Moab in the same month?

Going to pick them up from being powdercoated today:D

yeah i figured you'd be getting some done pretty soon after that last trip!!
tellico.. tellico.. tellico..

So is anyone interested in Winrock, I would like to check it out sometime and get a chance to get my truck off the road. I have not heard about the difficulty level but I would still enjoy checking this place out.

psssttt... this is the tellico thread ;) :D

but yeah i'm interested

btt......
Lets start gettin geared up for Tellico guys!!

yeah man! especially after beasly. i'm ready for some rocks again!

btw.. i changed the thread title to include the dates.

i'm gonna try to have a winch on my truck by then

I hope to be regeared by then. My new front end should be in within the next 2 weeks. I just have to get the stuff for the back and get it set up.

Plus we also have another Ex to get done between now and then, I can't wait to see how that thing is gonna look when done!!

Also, do we have to reserve spots at Crawford's? And what does everyone want, like primative or whatever?

I know there is alot of info on the trails on the board already, so I don't think we need to be redundant with that part of the thread.

Who's X you working on Josh" Sammy's??

Jason, what convinced you to get a winch?? (i'm getting one too):D

i decided to get a winch after doing beasly this past weekend. we had to rely on the 4runner with the winch to pull us (me and josh) up too much stuff after he pulled himself up it.

and yes.. they are workin on sammy's x.

Just to let you guys know, the only campground that I know how to get to is Stateline. So if we are staying at Crawfords, I will need really good directions, or someone to follow there!:p

stateline was free right?

Yeah it was free, which is why I like it:D Even though it is all primitive, but you do get to sleep by the river!

To get to Crawford's, all you have to do is NOT take the right at Davis Creek to go to the trail head.

Crawford has showers, which is why I would like to stay there.

Yeah, its Sammy's X. It should be pretty good when we get done with it.
