I didn't want a truck with a camper and it will eventually look something like this.

Focus on the Explorer first tho ;) The van will get you to the trails no matter what. But you gotta have the Explorer in top shape to optimize your off-roading curve.

Go all out...

^--- a tubular frame! probably nothing ford in that thing.

Looks great Colin.

Thanks Brian.

I need to get a backup camera and/or censors. No I haven't hit anything, but a van with two little windows at the top of the rear doors 14' back is way different than a truck with the bed.

Wait till a trailer and the Explorer is behind it .. you might as well put a blind fold on and just trust your ninja instincts.

Ahh, it's not so bad Colin, you just got to learn the size and to trust your mirrors;) The rearview is probally wothless in that thing anyway:p:

I'm ok so far, I've backed it up withing 5" every time in my "parking spot" at the house. I'm just saying it would be nice with the cam and censors. A truck is much easier though.

Colin my dad has a 01 F-250 V-10, it seems to get BETTER mileage when I tow th eboat with it at 85 on the highway then it does around town.

Normally it averages 11.8 (according to overhead display) but at 85 on the highway with AC on it gets 18.5...go figure

It did cost $117 to fill it up the other day though...ouch
Gas prices in Nebraska were 3.09 for 87 octane...I suspect in CA they are more like $4.09 :)

V10 has been 100% problem free for us and it friggin scoots

Speed limiter does kick in at 94 MPH whi8ch kinda suck diddly ucks

Sick ass van dude, nice!

My Dad's motor home has the V10 in it, and it moves pretty good for what it is, so that van must scream!!!

It cost me $75 to fill it up the day I got it, and it was just about on E. I drove another one at the dealer and it had 270k on it and it still seemed to drive really nice so hopefully this one will be good for a long time. I'm still over 3/4 tank so far so I won't know the mileage for a while.

This thing does move pretty good. I got on it a little today getting on the freeway, and was pretty impressed for being a (as the door sticker says) type: bus(not a school bus). :)

Short Bus Yellow

this is what you need....:D
