Just washed my engine

Well, this is going to have to wait until tomorrow. Since I have a new tune-new maf and no air filter-running it without a TPS just doesn't sound like a good idea.
Also,a MAF sensor needs an air filter attached upstream for the correct swirl pattern, or sampling will be way off.
I have a good filter coming from www.hensonperformance.com

I may buy a cheap ricer filter just to get this running.

wouldnt it shift into 2nd at a higher speed also and the same with third 3rd, or it felt about the same as before?

Well grrr-
Not a TPS to be found anywhere-looks like Tuesday is the soonest I can hope to have one:mad:

I need one for a 94-95 mustang v8
TPS 255 or TPS 261

here's one for you

Last evening I checked the TPS voltage, and read 2.11v.
I removed it and blew 175 psi air to it-sprayed it with electrical contact cleaner and blew it again, not that there are many holes to blow into-but I did it anyway.
I checked it again, still 2.11v.
I disconnected it and started shopping.
I had it here on the table over night where it must have warmed up well. I just hooked it up-un attached and at rest it reads .785 volts!!
It might be right now-but I think I still better get a new one.

Hmmm.

That is good to hear that you might have it, good call Bob. I couldn't read the pictures well, I'm glad that Bob looked them over well.

You have a 94/95TB, that voltage would be very bad for an old Mustang. Try sticking it on there with the screws loose, and check the voltage again. Rock the TB each way, usually there is only a few tenths of a volt at most to adjust them. If it still reads that far off(2.1 versus .99), I wouldn't use it until you find one. Regards,

Yeah-I saw the TPS signal -looked like it was working to me--
it was following the maf signal well--just 2 volts higher than it should be-
I had it almost pegged at 30mph--:D

someone owes a few people some beer....lol

Glad to see you guys hopefully tracked down the problem...brovo

I finally got aan air filter that fits this Maf sensor adapter-
geez, you guys, there are no, none, zilch , speed shops in the area--

unless you have a carb'd 350 chevy, these guys are out of touch---:(

So, I ordered a Summit brand filter-and for 35 bux received a HUGE K&N filter, with k-n instructions and sticker-but wrapped in Summit packaging--

I bought a F1SF code TPS-
I installed them today-and with James fist attmpt file loaded, she fired righ up and idled SMOOTH!!
My Air fuel ratio gauge stayed right in the stoich area also--ha ha ha-this is good stuff!!!
I'm going to do the initial data log and send it off to him--stay tuned.

I think this will go down starting early next week.

Very good, clean the MAF when you get some miles on the K&N filter.

Jt - It's about time....;)

I want to see what you're made of with this remote tuning. You're gonna have to trust that James has the correct RPM limit on the tune he sends, and not take your foot off the gas until you start to hear the rev limiter....can you do it? hehehe

I'm dying to hear 6500 RPM's :D

Yeah baby, let her scream.

I got my data
held it at 1100 RPM's for 5 seconds-1500 for 5, 2k for 5, 3k for 5, 4k for 5 and finally 5k for 5 seconds. When I moved the throttle it was right there, --

Your engine should go 7K no problem. (don't listen to me)

Alright! Good job there!

Very good, congrats on the success.

Since I didn't select all of the required parameters during the initial stationary data run--

I performed another.

Ha ha
Boy--the earlier posted graph shows the TPS counts at 514 at idle

Now I have 214--

holding the throttle open for 5000 rpm data shows the tps at 347 counts

So, in other words-to explain it simply--
the faulty TPS was holding a down shift/
