thanks rockranger....man that is far but i think i can do it....not sure now...but i will probably show up around 12 midnite on saturday am or late on friday pm. i think i need to sleep before i head up there..or is that down there?

Jim, if you do come, you WILL have a blast. If you do come, bring a couple maps, and study them before you leave. Your best bet is to meet RockRanger in Temecula, or someone else to be arranged later. The signs to the reservation are not the greatest.

rangerx....the directions rock gave me dont even go to temecula nadi have no idea where that is....it says i just stay on i5 for like 300 miles

Temmecula is the town that you get off of I15 and get onto hwy 79. You will defenently have a blast out there if you can do it. It is my second favorate place to wheel right behind the rubicon and is more fun then the cinders in Arizona. If you can make it defenently try especally since they are closing in about a month to wheeling.

ok that sound good could you clarify temeculs for me on those maps you posted for me? i am bad with go to directions...coming home will be no problem tho....what time will you be at temecula?

I plan on being in temecula at about 8:00 friday night. where the map quest says:
23: Merge onto I-15 S. 37.5 miles
( 60.3 km)

24: Take the CA-79 S exit towards INDIO. 0.3 miles
( 0.4 km)

25: Turn LEFT onto CA-79. 37.8 miles
( 60.8 km)

At #24 it says get off of I15 to get on the hwy 79. If you go left off the freeway that is the way to get to the reservation. You just keep going straitto warner springs. Make sure you fill up with gas here and get food case this is the last spot that you can get gas and food at night. I can't get there much earlier than that but could meet you a little later if you can't be there that earliy. Let me know and we can set up a meeting time and place in temmecula. Also it will takee about an hour to get to the reservation after we leave temmecula. If you have any more questions ether repost or give me a call on my cell phone # that is a few posts above.

i got that part. when it says take the exit toward indio where do i go from there? is indio a street or what? where should we meet i think i can be there around 8pm what time should i leave fremont? i can do it. i am planning only to stop a couple times for gas...and pee...

Indio is a town way out in the middle of nowhere. when you get off the freeway in temmecula take left at the off ramp go under the freewaythe road you are on is highway 79 take and stay on that all the way to warners springs 37 miles or some thing like that.

How does this sound for a meeting spot. when you get off the freeway take a left and go under the freeway. go through 2 or three lights. On the right there is a mobil gas station and a carls jr. I plan on getting gas there at the mobil and eat some dinner at carls jr. Just look for my ugly multi colored ranger at eather of these spots or me I will be wearing a black ford racing hat about 5' 10" with blonde hair. I will try to be there as close to 8:00 as I can. I will hang out at that carls jr till 9:30 or so. I'll do some homework while I am waiting f neccesary. I will still have to make a stop for food at a grocery store so we will have to make that stop after we meet up. If you run into any problems Call my cell phone and we can make changes if neccesary.

I won't have any firewood. depending on how late we wheel I could maybe run to my parentshouse and get a little but that is about 45 miles each way from the reservation. My dad might come out and ride with me so if he does I will see if he can bring some wood with him if he comes. No promises but I will talk to him.

Does anyone have a favorite campsite that they like to get when they are out there? Just curious where we will all meet when we get out to the res Friday Night.

What time do we want to hit the trail on Sat? Ken might be driving up from Palm Springs in the am.

It could be pretty chilly at night, 30's possible, so the more people bringing wood, the better.Maybe pick up a $5 bundle at the stores in Temecula.

Also, I hope EVERYBODY has a CB.

I carry a spare handheld, but prefer to use that for spotting.

I also will be traveling wednesday, and thursday. So I'll probably not know of anything after wednesday morning.

I hope to be there early friday night, looking for a good camp site.

Hitting the trail aroung 9 am sounds good to me. I will pick up a bundle along the way. I have a cb as well. It doesn't work very well but works for short distances ok. I am ready Also I went out and got a new tool set to replace my old one so I have most of my tools that got stoolen so OI will have some atleast. Any one have any specific trails they want to run?
