There's also a lot of primitive camping in the area around Fins 'N Things and Porcupine Rim, it's in one of those areas requiring a small access fee like what Rick mentioned. Also, Lions Back is a campground too (privately owned). There's also primitive camping on the Colorado River heading upriver out of town toward the Top of the World trail and also going the other way down the river toward Cliffhanger, Moab Rim and those trails.

Lee, there will be lots of last minute decisions all the way up until the week of the run. Don't worry about it if you cannot commit at this time. We've never had a trip where 100% of the participants were able to attend.

ok cool, ill try to know as soon as possible ;)

Nope I'm only a 1,2 guy as well, never taken the x anything but muddin and ranch trail runnin so I think I'll play it safe on my first trip to Moab.

Not to worry, I may be capable of 3+ but I'm averse to body damage so 1-2 trails should be ok with me. :thumbdwn:

Plus it's my first time to Moab too. Need time to take pictures.

holy crap with 26 already I better reserve a spot in town!
I just need to quit spending all my $$$ on my trucks and get er done...

I'm gonna be tenting it. If anyone else wants to tent as a group I'm down, but let's try to get a spot sooner than later. Does Canyonlands have a group area?

i'm a 4, but the jeep that will definitly be coming with me is 2.
Guess we'll be camping in the wild, so if anyone wants a big campfire, we'll have the party going at our camp!

Canyonlands does have one large group tent site as well as numerous individual tent sites right next to each other.

Party at Ryan's, business as usual :D

im probobly going to tent it too. i see no reason to get a cabin or hotel.

I'll have a camper and 40 foot motorhome in our group, plus several tents. we'll be getting in that thursday to get a camp spot, so as time gets closer, i'll post phone numbers so we can all meet up if wanted.

ps dwd, no boozin and donuts!

I'll be tenting it too... at least me and a buddy (it's a daily question to him; so do you remember what you're going to with me next May?) Oh, and I'm stoked... my wife's cool with it!! I had to get her approval (you know it's always better that way ;) ) within 14 days of signing up for it!

I'm definately up for a group meet and camp  I always need help coordinating so if anyone else is planning on camping at a big spot, or... let me know a few people here know this but when I say I'm going I am a DEFINATE to attend. :D

im going to camp as close to everyone as possible. just in case i try to sleep in so someone can come kick me a few times so ill get up. lol. im just hopping i get reservations in time. i just get this odd feeling that im going to forget and im going to get there and have no where to camp. and im going to have to sleep in the back of the truck.

just signed up since i know ill be there this year. even if my car is still compleatly stock, i can still bug people if i cant drive. well see you guys/girls there.

Those of you tenting at Canyonlands, let me offer a tip from a lesson I learned the hard way. Some tent sites are close to the central bathroom/showers facility, and the ground is small pebbles that make a cereal-eating crunching sound when you walk on it. Request a tentsite away from the central showers, or you will be awakened all night long everytime someone walks by your site to go to the bathroom. If you are a heavy sleeper it may be okay, but I didn't get hardly any sleep at all the year I had that site.

Ok, so I went ahead and put a hold on the group tent site at Canyonlands under my name. I figure at least there is water and showers there for us tent camper and lots of our RV friends will be there. They say that there is a ten person cap on the group site so its first come first serve. PM me if your intrested. If there are more than ten of us we can always spill into the nearby single tent sites. Lates, Justin
