Man I'm so excited... i'll be really bummed if I dont get to go...

Might go for spring break... be more of a camping trip then a wheelin trip but might do some... its either there or colorado...

JStrider... at least you're not getting socked with snow in CO now we are!! Can't complain though, cuz free wheelin' time in your own neighborhood is kinda fun  It's been fun helpin' 2 wheelers out.... the auto-hubs and easy 4 hi shifting is one of the reasons it's hard to think of an SAS.

Jefe; nice Foci..... yeah I'm stoked it's not mother's day weekend again.

2nd trip to Moab and now I know what a big deal it is!

You can do auto 4 hi shifting with a solid axle silly.
I keep the hubs locked in on my BII (manual) and drive around in 2wd, then when you get to the side streets (Which are still a mess from the 35" of snow we got last week, 12" more coming today) just hit 4hi or reach down and put the manual t case in 4 hi and you are off. Just like auto hubs, and just like a solid axle with manual hubs.

The slush fest that has been my neighborhood for the last week is seriously like 4x4ing, some of the potholes are 10-12" deep and its been sunny all week!

I've been wanting to ask how much you got there...

Sounds like atleast a foot more is on it's way today. Southern Utah got 16 inches yesterday.

Thanks for the clarification 410.... almost a bummer though cuz my excuses now for not doing an SAS (besides the initial costs/acquisition) are almost non-existent :)

Makes sense.... I'm just not as mechanically adept as many here and haven't looked into the various methods of locking hubs, vaccuum lines, etc.

Signed up....Yeah

Looking forward to a great time. Xplorer is stone stock but I in't sceared.

Ok, I just made it official by signing up...see everyone there:thumbsup:

So, what is the count so far? How many people have signed up?

We have 15 signed up right now.

16 :p

I am going to wait until closer till then to sign up, so I can make certain I can take off work. So a tentative 17.

My wife wants to know how many wives/girlfriends will be there?

And do you camp on site, nearby or what?

I'll have a wife or girlfriend there.

I just need to see which one wants to come.;) jk.

Well I'm not spoken for, but I'll be there :)

Reckon I'll be getting my own cabin this time, since I got somebody in trouble for sharing a room last time

Spas; let us know if you come into Denver again and take a 'stang to Moab! :D

As far as camping, I'll have to reserve another large campsite at Canyonland's (it wasn't too bad... would've been nice to have a power hook-up though ). I'll reserve it soon for that 3-4 day period.

The closer we get, if anyone wants to share a campsite (like a 2 or 3 tent site with a 12 person max limit).... they'll have to let me know. ;)

doing the campsite with becker was pretty good, and most of the group was at the canyonlands campsite. If there were a few more people it would be even better, cuz it would be cheaper...

in arches there a few spots you can sleep in your car without paying for a campsite, you still have to pay the entry fee, but that lasts for a few days so you can go in and out all weekend. Would also have farther to drive in the mornings and evenings to meet up with everyone... not sure about the rangers opinion on this, but I never saw any where I was.

I really hope I can go...

absolute must happen before I can do Moab:

replace my radiator. I have a new racing radiator for my 5.0L at my house, I bought it used from a member here :) The issue, why is it sitting on the shelf?: it requires me to modify my truck, rad support a bit to fit it (reverse what I did almost! hahaha) and I need a better trans cooler because my new radiator does not have it built in.

No big deal, weekends worth of work, couple hundred $$$

Things I REALLY hope I can get done by then:
-sliders
-tires (my 35" MTR tires are 65% worn)
-superrunner steering replace (new tie rods, bearings for bushings, etc)
-tire carrier fix (I need the weight of the 35 on the back of the truck down low, not inside over the rear axle)

HUGE BONUS ROUND possible get done by moab:

body diet, roll cage, and a tow vehicle/trailer (borrow family)

4.33 months to go

as usual please send $$$

Yeah, get that radiator done.

We want you to actually show up this year! Jk. We all know how it goes, unexpected things always come up. That's all part of the fun though.
