...:bounce:...just about loaded up, and i'm keeping an eye on the high wind warnings and t-storm warnings...:bounce:

Cool. Im still cutting, grinding and welding - finishing up the gas can mount

I have most everything else done, still have to pack clothes and a few other minor things.

Supposed to be snowing in Flagstaff on my way through tomorrow, hope that doesnt delay me any.

...you are not on the road yet???...lol...i was suppose to meet up with someone today but they said something about a trapese and an injury  so i took off and i'm piddle fartin my way to laughlin...

...i started off in bumper to bumper traffic all the way up the cajon pass where it was snowin and raining...got to barstow and took a detour out to the slash X ranch cafe and got my X badged...:D...then i stopped off in ludlow to see the cafe that huell howser made famous, between ludlow and needles some more rain/snow, and i am currently broadcasting live from downtown needles...:bounce:
...i plan on runnin around checkin things out tommorow and getting my ariz. stamp as everyone was out by my house...
...btw, i heard on the radio the inet site for calico is http://calicotown.com ...;)

...i seen on a billboard by needles they have rooms in laughlin for 18.95...:dunno:...i'm going to check them out tommorow...;)
...i'm waiting for the other group to post on their board what the trail conditions were as they are just getting home...

Yeah, that would be good to know what the conditions are. Laughlin hotels are cheap, mine was only mid $20s a night and that is for a "room with a view"

Well Im out for the night and this is the last time I will check this post untill I get to laughlin and then I hope to find wireless internet somewhere. See you there

Bad News.. I just talked to Brian and he asked me to post this. He was involved in a huge pile up accident just outside of Flagstaff, Arizona. Everyone in the Explorer was okay but the Explorer is pretty beat up. Unfortaunetly he's not gonna be able to make it to the run. He said the rear windows were all broken, the driver side rear door was smashed in, and the hatch was complettly toast. Luckily there all okay, and walked away. He said there was about a mile of cars just smashed and boxed in. TBARS if you need his number let me know. Hope you see this!

I just called Tbars and gave him the news. He'll be calling Brian, and looking for internet service soon...

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Brian, but glad that everyone is ok!

Sorry to hear about this Brian. Glad you're OK and hope you can still do something fun on your week off (hitch a ride and still do the run?).

...i just made it back to needles...i talked to brian and he said his folks were in a sepereate car on the same road...it sounds like if they don't get the big pile up cleaned up they might be sleeping in their vehicles tonight on the highway...
...he said they are just this side of flagstaff still up in the tree line, parked next to the guard rail and it's snowing...i offered my services but they are 6 hours out and the road is closed in both directions up there...
...btw, it rained all the way from needles to laughlin and it didn't break up till about 2pm today...

...Thunderhorse and Joeyjarhead
...let me know that you have read this and as far as i know, we will have to reschedule at a later date...

Dang! I am so sorry to hear this! I was hoping you guys would have a great time this week! Brian, I am glad to hear you are okay but sorry to hear about the Explorer! Hopefully, you will be able to get it fixed and back together for the next run!

Tbars, you stay safe out there, you hear??

(Global warming, my @$$! Somebody call Al Gore and tell him we need his hot air out here!!!)

OHHHH that really sucks ---- good to know all are well, yea we'll have to see about rescheduling. Brian stay safe and again good to know you are all well.

...thunderhorse, got your message...

...i'm in needles not far from the avi casino, 40/riverroad...do you have all the maps and info for the trail???

Not a one but the kid is going to B&N to see if he can get the book on it. all we really need is the grid where it starts outside Laughlin.

,,,knowing where to go on the rest of the trail helps too...:D...they've gotten rain on that trail for the last 2 days...;)

yep that's why the kid is getting the book. Are you interested in doing the trail on Tuesday??

...i'm always ready, well, pretty much..:p:...if you feel you could lead us straight thru, i'm game...;)

You could also stop by the Needles office and pick up a map for the preserve. Although the book will probably be better.
