Well now that I signed up to be one of the Elite I'm going to start a registry, and keep this going as a running blog of sorts.

I see alot of new guys and gals joining the site and asking the same questions over and over again. So instead of having somebody say "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON DUMMY" and driving a new member away, I hope that those members out there that help instead of criticize, link back to this registry as well as other Elite Member's registries showing the knowledge we have gained being new to this place.

I myself am your typical shade-tree mechanic. I don't have a lift, or a welder, my air tools and compressor are cheap Wal-Mart value. I work with hand tools and good old elbow grease.

When a project becomes too much for my small arsenal, it goes to a professional. The X-pipe and cat back on the Mustang Stand out the most in my mind. I got as far as the cats and said "Yep, time to go to Meineke" and drove it 10 miles at 7a.m. on a Saturday running just about straight pipes:cool:)

My best friend is a mechanic and he's pretty helpful at times ("You break one header stud, and I'm outta here":D)

I'll add more to this as time goes on, but for now I think this is pretty good.

And, now on with the show:

YAY!!! 500th Post!!! I waste this post telling you this.

I'm only messing. I will also update this a bit today.

Well it seems that my T-case finally went:

Here's the front driveshaft that I took out to make the truck at least semi-drivable:

I have to shop around a bit to find a good, working T-case to install with the instructions that V8BoatBuilder posted. Yet another learning experience for me. I'm going to stick with a stock BW4405 to make my life easier.

At the same time I'll also install a custom powder coated Rockcrusher differential cover I bought from JTSmith. The coloring on it will match my truck quite nicely:

July 8,2008 - New (to me) custom rear tube bumper with swing-out tire carrier built by Mudbug94. This thing is HEAVY. I also see through the paint that the tubes say "U.S.A." on them:cool:.

the pipe i used for the bumper was actually purchased by my friends grand father in 1956 and was intended to be used as an irragation line to water a grazing feild for the cows on a small dairy farm in wayne nj...when the line was never installed the pipe was stored in the hay loft in the original barn...upon a spring cleanout it was discovered in five 75 foot sections by my friend (the grandson) one of which was then cut into 10 foot lenghts and given to me where it was contributed to this bumper, a roll bar, rocksliders, a front prerunner bumper, and even some light (well heavy) exhaust repairs...... isnt it amazing how some things turm out?....btw,if you want to make the gas can and high lift mounts some time let me know....

oh yea one more thing...if you can some how manage to bend it, ill give you a dollar..

nice truck andy...i always liked them, but the 4 door one,,why'd ya get rid of the explorer??
