what gears do u have right now? what tranny? auto? manual? and depending on the brand and tire the actual measurements compared to the listed size can vary greatly.

i rhink i have 3.73. Auto tranny, it is the same one that came with the car so i assume it is a A4ld

3.73's will get u by with some 32's untill u can save up for gears... if u swap them at all. its not exactly the ideal combo but it will work and it could be alot worse. u could have 3.27's or 3.55's. the auto tranny will help make up for the improper gearing. just remember not to dog it too bad cuz the auto sucks regardless.

or get your grinder out for about 8 seconds on each rear wheel well lip
WAJ

32's are a waste of time, go 33 :)

how can i figure out what gears i have?

under where it says axle is just a 41

def go with 33's!

you're going to want gears. i have 3.27 and 31s. last weekend i was playing in the dunes and it sucked on some of the hills because of gearing.

i will post new pics of my x when i get the lift and rear bumper on

ok, i nee some serious help, i can not figure out how to install the steering stabilizer. i have already searched and nothing has turned up useful, so please help, diagrams would be nice. thanks

what steering stabilizer are you talking about?
One end goes to the trucks frame (typically the sway bar bracket on a TTB truck) and the other side gets a U bolt to the tie rod, its pretty simple really. But what stabilizer did you purchase? Was it for a 93 Explorer?

93 explorer, rancho stabilizer, i can't figure out where to mount it to the frame. Do i have to drill?

On mine, the bracket that has two small u-bolts goes on the tie rod, near the passenger tire. The other bracket is flat, and is bolted to the bottom lip of the engine crossmember. You'll need to drill the holes.

I rolled around with 31's and 3.27 gears for 3 years now i have 32's with 3.27s and i cant pull my own weight up a steep incline unless im in low. it sucks. gas mileage now about 12-13 mpg. i say 31's is as big as you wanna go with your gears. however i do not regret the 32's. to each his own
