Something w/ rabbits. 72.5 pages of BS

Now that the 4th of July festivities is in the history books, it was time to brace the body to the chassis and cut the floor. I'll get to the other half another day but the driver's side is gone! After both are gone, the side rails for the boat side are going onto the chassis.

This is going to be wicked:D Can't wait:burnout:

I hope so... The Pumpkin has nearly 10 year old offroad technology:confused:

As does mine, but they still both work very well.

Um, Iz..... Did you know there was a hole in your floor? :D

I am guessing this has been known for some time, but when did you get a driveline brake? LOL
How do you like it??

what t case is it mounted to?
for parking or is it your main rear brake?

Keep moving fast please, awesome progress holy ground clearance

Wouldn't it be easier to build a rock buggy, cut the floor out of the explorer and just slip it on like a t-shirt:p:

probably whip that pumpkins ass! ;)
Its not about the vehicle, its about the driver and Rick has a ton more driving experience than I do. The first D44 SAS was finished less than 2 yrs ago and I haven't really been "off roading" before that. So per say, I'm a rookie.

I put that on at the first SAS thread. Its mounted to the manual 1354 -- it uses three of the 15 or so bolts that hold the two case halves together. But it uses the rear caliper from a motorcycle and a go-cart's disc brake rotor.

As for the ground clearance, I'm aiming for a belly height of a bit under 25 inches (maybe 23-ish) and its sitting at 27 right now so it'll be a bit lower. Compareed to the previous configuration, the body will be sitting almost 5 inches lower :). The goal is to lay it low and just put some UHMW/Delrin or whatever plastic on the bottom and the boat side.

Yeah it would have :)

Woot got these from my brother today -- 1.5" and 2.0" dimple dies. Ima gonna try to heat treat them before use to at least harden the casing (to minimize surface sratches).

I want to see lots of zoom holes!
You bet -- I've bookmarked and have been getting some inspiration from a few threads at DezertRangers ;). At first it was just to see how those guys were moving their engines back, but then I realized that they do some pretty bling work. And then there's that whole "GNAR" thing I keep reading about but dont really understand -- maybe cauz I'm from the east coast :)

^-- see, I have no idea what that means :)

Im on the left coats, and haven't a clue ether lol.

I like it.

It's going to be sick gnar gnar when you're done bro!
I live about an hour from the guy who wrote this, and I have no idea what it means. I think its good though.....:rolleyes::confused::eek:

HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHA
One of my friends in Highschool said that all of the time. We called her the Gnar Gnar Queen.

IZwack Read this >>>>> Gnar Gnar - An exclamation used to describe something which is awe-inspiring, usually of something generally deemed to be "twisted"
