is it even possible to supercharge and twin turbocharge a motor? lol

lol just wondering.... with enough upgraded parts to my 4.0 SOHC could i eventually supercharge and twin turbocharge it? ( assuming i can get enough space for both turbos )

i know it sounds crazy but i just wanted to know if it is possible.

You can also put a leaf blower motor attatched to the intake. The more forced air, the better..right?

:P i know, thats the kit im going to eventually get. i was saying engine mods because im sure that if you are going to supercharge and twin supercharge any motor that you are probably going to have to upgrade quite a few of the stock parts...

I have the explorerexpress kit on my stock 5.0 and it has been on there for the past 35000 miles with all stock parts pushing 6 pounds of boost with no problems :).

Does anyone know of a supercharger kit for the 5.0 (1998 AWD)?

What HP and torque rating at the wheels can I expect?

V/R,
David

I believe there are some big truck diesels...Detroits maybe...that were both supercharged and turbocharged a while back. I don't recall seeing a gas engine that way. Sheesh...either one alone can produce enough boost to send the bottom end to the moon!

Cator and Morse sell a cheap kit. $1500 then you supply the blower ($150-$300 on ebay). Doesnt require a tune or anything if using stock pulley (5 lbs boost- 60hp)

why?

if a supercharger can make 18 psi of boost which is way more then you will ever need (90% of the forced induction people never see more then 8psi) why would you need a turbo?

If a single turbo can make 18psi, then why would you need a supercharger?

Twin turbo and supercharged together = you better need alot of boost and you better be prepared for it, thats alot of heat!!!

They are selling them again? I thought they stop selling those at EE because of lack of interest from SOHC owners.

I know they stoped selling the 5.0 kit but still sold the 4.0 kit and now another site is selling the 5.0 kit.

I believe it is about an 80 to 90 hp gain with out a tune or anything else

A guy i worked with used to have a supercharger and turbo on his 2001 integra. He had a custom tune and everything.
