Oh i forgot about that tranny issue, well best of luck on an easy and cheap fix. And i sent PM.

UGH tranny problems. I am glad im not you right now. I have had my share of the AL4D mess.

Hope its a easy fix for you.

...Tranny is out and on the floor...break time and then the investigating begins....:wtf:

...Mounty71, I'll call you in a couple hours...;)

...Got the t/c out and I am happy to say it looks brand new and the tranny shop DID put in a new one...I was worried I would find the old welded one in there when we opened it up...

...I was also happy to see it is color matched to my truck...:D

...I've been working on fixing little stuff on the X...I finally have my dash cover re-installed from last years excapades.....I bolted the ashtray back in as good as I could as the guy I bought it from ripped it out while removing the stereo...I may even vacuum this year..

.....I even dusted off the guage cluster while I was at it and I couldn't believe how new it still looks...I just busted the nylons on both rear hatch pins due to them being dry so I need to find a couple good ones...

...Pick the X up today just to chase some work parts and seen this...

...Seeing how I was inspecting all that area last weekend, I'm guessing someone needed that bolt more than I did...:dunno:...I'm glad I caught it while I was in town..:biggthump

...A trip to Mcfadden/Dale and I wound up with a new zinc shoulder bolt with nylon nut 2 3/4"x1/2"x13 for $2.15......I should have matched the other side too but I was in a hurry...:burnout:

Or someone tried to jack your shocks but got to the two top bolt and realized it was a PITA to reach the other side -- or they heard a noise and scrammed :)

...That was my thinking, :shifty_ey someone must have interrupted them or they just needed that bolt..:dunno:

...Usually I don't check the rear as much but last weekend I did...I did however notice my rear aluminum diff cover could use a skid plate...

pffffffff! A4LD :thumbdwn: freakin french crazyness

...Hey R.J....:mattmoon:...and I seen your new setup...:biggthump

...I rarely ever, (knock on wood), even have loose bolts...:shifty_ey What I hate is now wondering if there was something else they might have been working on taking off besides that bolt...:splat:

Yeah-look out. They might be trying to get rid of you so they can have Harley.

Not Cool!!

...Finally, out with the old and in with the new...I finally got around to swapping the alt's out...My belt was in great shape but the belt tensioner is on just the edge of being tight...But it seems to do the job so I will get a diff belt in the future and will know a stock belt can work...:biggthump

...It seems like the wally world batteries don't last out here...My second one is dead after another 10 months...After talking to several parts stores, they say they are only lasting about 6 months and the wally world customers are coming in by the dozen...:dunno:

...Anyone have a good battery they want to part with???..Otherwise I might have to wait and get an optima...

...I just got my spare for the X from Tdavis, thanks Tom...If anyone has a 15x10 or 15x8 5x4.5 wheel they want to trade for a Chevy 6 lug let me know...:D
