I'm not sure if there is any such thing as making it in time... we seem to lounge around talking and looking at cars for at least 3 hours.

Thanks... you may regret offering one of these days.

On the flipside if any of y'all ever need to cut, burn, melt or otherwise deform metal let me know I've managed to build up a decent shop in the last year of sitting on my ass.

Go buy some material... I only have a 1.5" /120 degree die for my ProTools 105 bender so if you wanna bend anything other than 1.5 tube either buy a die or wait till I get around to it.

or wait till I get around to it.

I think I'll wait!;) The 2" die is like 200 bucks:eek: I don't have 200 bucks to just throw around just yet.

Besides I have to do design still.:p

Alright Tim!

Lets figure out a time in the future and we're going to town on my truck!;) 1.5" I think will work, but not sure if I can make sliders out of 1.5"

1.5" what? Tube? the rectangular stuff?

You got a PM.

Tim =:confused: :D

I'll call you later, but I what I was saying is I wanna make the bumpers out of 1.5" tube and I was thinking of doing tube sliders. The'll have to be square stock underneath probaly (by Frame) I don't think we' can do at all at once. I got go price out metal still too and see what can do for a budget now. You have a welder right? And if so how big? Can we do 1/4"?

If we start doing some of this we gotta start work'n on rig to. There's other things to do then work you know:rolleyes: Besides I told ya I'd help ya.;)

know I'm

The welder can do 1/4" no problem. :D

There is a lot of debate over square vs tube sliders, most say the square stock is more bash resistant than tube but lacks the trick look of tube. A lot of it probably has to do with the wall thickness of the material you're dealing with.

I'm gonna go ahead and start the discussion on the proposed March 13th run, since some of you don't check the boards as often as i do. Here's my thoughts on trails:

Rowher: its close, but as the T-shirt says "been there, done that"

Miller Jeep Trail: Gorman/Frazier Park area. Trail is a climb from ~4000 ft up to almost 6000 ft (if I remember right), so its weather dependant. Would be challenging for stockers, with the possibility for rocker damage on one hill. We can also play in Hungry Valley if we start early and/or run it quickly.

Last Chance Canyon: Red Rock/Jawbone/Dove Springs area (out past Mojave) trail heads up a wash, with both rock crawling and high speed areas. very doable with a stock explorer (not so doable with an H2 :p ) As with Miller, we can go play in Dove Springs or Jawbone afterwards.

I've got pics on my website of all of these trails.

My vote goes to Miller since I haven't been up there recently.

Don't care....As long as the front axle is turning:D

Miller sounds good but we may run into some snow still, which would make it interesting. ;)

Not in March maybe, May or so we should do Big Bear. Have ever gone there Jefe? I ve never heard you say a thing about it?
