Big Bear Run in August??

I'm in Pismo this up coming weekend and vegas the following. I'm taking my bike and exploder to Big Bear on a run mid August... I just thought I'd chime in about Corral though. I've been up there on my dirt bike the past 3 fridays in a row. Mid day all three days. As long as you're moving it's not that bad temp wise so far. Stop in the shade and it's all good. Hell with the trucks you have a cooler convienent. I was wearing pants, long sleeve, helmet, and hot water on my back and I put in 80 miles on the bike which is 3.5 hours in the sun up there!! Hmmm, I'd be down for a day trip to corral Aug 6th-8th but don't plan around me!!!

BTW, there's DEFINATELY some fun wheeling there!!! What about out further where that rock crawling comp was a month or two back? I'll find the name of the place...

I've heard about Corral canyon for a few years now. I live :45 from Big Bear making it an easy alternative. I'll be checking out Corral canyon in the winter/spring when the temps cool down a bit though...

I am going to subscribe to this thread. I wont be able to take my Explorer on the trail for this as it will not be in trail order. All though I think Dave has an open passenger seat in his truck. So, I will have to see if he is going to make this trip.

I was up there 3 weekends ago and this past weekend. Exploder is getting detailed this weekend though and put in the trader next weekend!!!
