Oh yeah...

bumper = best buddy (24 years) discount. Although if you add up what I should owe Winter over the years and him working on my 15 vehicles I've owned, he could probably own a house by now...

...well at least i hope you got everything you wanted for your vehicles on your birthday...:D

...thats killer, power for the computer??? :D

I'll keep a eye out for a grill piece at the JY for ya colin;)

Where will the spare tire go!?

Is this the first small step in the major transformation the truck will be undergoing? Or just an adjustment for the larger spare?

It was a POS design, that just wasn't worth trying to fix. The bolt (instead of a spindle) was frozen and has been since 2 months after I got it. The main bar was also cracked by the bolt, as you can see in that pic posted above.

The spare is strapped down in the cargo area.

The POS wasn't very happy driving to Big Bear and back this weekend. There was slapping and banging sounds coming from it going up any hills on the highway. I honestly didn't think I was going to make it back.

I also blew a front passenger axle seal on the trail.

I think this thing is going to be parked in a yard (friend's dad has a place for me to keep it) until I can afford to do something about it. I'll probably say F it and just wait until I can do the 5.0 swap.

..I take it the noise was from the motor?? But your tranny is still ok???

I'm not possitive. The surging "problem" I was having before, was never figured out, so I don't know if that was engine or tranny. Either way though, I'm not rebuilding a 3rd a4ld and I thought I was ok with the 4.0, but going 35mph up the 241 from the 91 really pissed me off. :)

...That hill is under rated as it is a steep a$$ grade even with a v8, 351 or bigger...

...I feel for you though, that is a big project alone...So, a v8 (302) and doubler, what tranny???...I take it this will have to happen before the "other" mod...:(

Well, since it still "runs" I can trailer it to truckhaven and use it until it actually stops working. I may still go ahead and do "The Plan" before I do anything with running gear.
just go v8 all ready. we all know you want to lol
Yes, it will eventually happen. As I stated above, it will have to be parked for a while before I can afford to do that.
