I made it home last night around 1045. Long day of driving, but getting into your own bed and getting over 9hrs of sleep is also a bonus. It's too bad we couldn't hook up and wheel. I'm not gonna lie, I did kinda wanna stick with the jeep guys. Being my 1st time wheeling the jeep and at Moab of all places, these guys know the jeeps probably better than the engineers that built em, so it gave me extra peace of mind to do something stupid! As for missing dinner, I had to rewire parts of my trailer and work on my tow rig steering and i had to get that done. However the good news is, this will not be my last moab trip and my goal is 2011 to get back. It's quite the haul for me but well worth it! I'll try and get some of my jeepin photos up to show y'all what we ran.

Can anyone see those pics, I can't. Also cant post anymore, how come?

Know when to say "When"

wowzers!! Keep your arms inside the vehicle at all times!! Great way to get a compound fracture there!!

Just a kick-stand for the rig... Wouldn't have stuck it out there if I didn't have a plan to get it back if the vehicle flopped. Just got the vehicle to the brink and as it teetered, pushed the rock; no real benefit, and in general I concur with your comments...

Gary - I see your pics and your post, so not sure what's up at your end...

Made it home. Lost a trailer tire about 40 miles out but it only slowed me down about 15 minutes to swap it out. Trailer is unloaded and disconnected. All that's left is the hard part, emtying the camper.

....I cast my vote for this pic to be Marshall's new avatar...:D

I think Paul would rather have his truck laying on his arm instead of getting scratched.:D

It really wasn't all that bad of a situation, the arm out the window with those wide open doors was just that ... a feeler.

You know, (as fooked up as it sounds,) you are probably right. . . I mean really, the arm will eventually heal :help:...

Really just kidding about the arm - - if it got sketchy I had an "exit strategy"...

Kevin - Just back the camper down a steep hill with the door open and slam on the brakes - - that ought to clean her out... Any luck at the Casino on the return trip? Figured thats where you stopped after "791 miles..."

I'm stuck in Kerney,Ne. LAME! I got hit with a brutal hail storm that sidelined me on the side of I80 for 10 minutes of torture for the Ford. For Danny, Rick and Char, good seeing you in more your country than Attica. Too bad we couldn't hook up for wheelin. Maybe next time and there certainly will be a next time. Might be a couple of years.

On a plus side, my jeep totally rocked and Moab is the bomb!

for someone who complains about spelling so much you spelled kearney wrong...lol just giving you hell man...i live near kearney so that's the only reason i can spell it

Wow Paul..... I would think you could straddle a wedgie by now LOL!

When did you cut your doors? Every time I see a photo of your rig it just looks better - Good job! :D Man I wish I could have been there..... it's been a long time :(

Hey, the speeling polyce can't always be correct. Anyways, it's JUST a Nebraska city ;)

What a blast! I was only around for Saturday and Sunday, but it was great to meet some great people and run some sweet trails!

The 'show truck' got it's first taste of body damage..... It was going to happen sooner or later, just wish I was doing something cool! Nope....just pulling out of the lunching spot and a friggin stump reached out and ripped my flare right off. My wife and co-driver should have been in the passenger seat to warn me.., but she wasn't this time!:(

I only had a few pictures on my camera. I should be getting more from my bro's camera soon.

Crappy one on the driver's side?
They were both crappy on the drivers side. Mike pointed out the buldge on the rear one at camp and it finally gave up the ghost, but not before I got every mile I could out of it. The bald one made it all the way home. After unloading everything, I took my unused gas money for the trip and replaced the flat and bald tires.

Okay, here are my pics.

This has to be my favorite of my son and his fear of heights on the lookout point on top of Golden Spike.
