Hey Ex, do you know a guy named Oscar

No I don´t know him, he actually lives in Keflavik which is 50km´s south of Reykjavik. He´s got a massive Bronco, probably unstoppable in the snow.

I have always been a huge fan of the "icelandish" look....Would love more info as stated above

here is a pic of the bending and hammering and whatnot i did to the fender. you can see the washers shimming it out.

Don't know if it's got enough lift to be posted here  38x13x16 are on the way! Originally 1998 Sport 4.0L SOHC, now 302 EFI, SAS D44 in front, 14Bolts on the rear ;)

The front suspension is not 100% completed

Explorers came with optional 302s since '96 from the factory...

Not the two door. Your's is two door no...???

2nd gens are all the same from the dash forward. the doors are the main difference between the sport and the 4doors. i'm sure there are other differences like the frame and rear driveshaft length too. but most parts... and engines are interchangeable. not to say that a 5.0 swap is easy, but it is not impossible.

yo tell me how you did this cuz i have a 1999 Explorer sport and i want it to basically look like this

Yo!

make it look like which? wHO ARE YOU TALKING TO? There are a BUNCh of Gen II trucks in this thread

Thanks for all the pics guys. Seeing what all these 2nd generation X's look like lifted and being able to read the sig so I know what each lift component combo does has really helped me out. My 98 XLT is stock right now but that will change soon and I will post up pics of progress.

does anybody know if the 4wd lifts will fit on my '99 sport 2wd? i was looking at the frame on mine the other day, it looks like they use the same frame for 2wd and 4wd as all the front diff brackets are all there. i just want about 2" of lift, and i don't want a body lift. i don't really want to crank the torsion bars either.

there are no 2 inch suspension lifts, period.
there are 2" torsion keys, which do the same thing as a torsion twist (increase the pre-load on the torsion bar) to gain lift.

wait... I believe there are 3" spindles you can get.

why spend the money on a 4wd lift kit if you only have 2wd? 4wd kits are generally more expensive.

Been watching this thread with great jealousy for a while now...had this lift kit sitting on my shelf for years! Finally got it done last week...
