ST HVAC (cold/hot air) System Noises/Problems

Is anybody else experiencing “popping/cracking” noises coming from the system. Generally during initial start up if the vehicle has been sitting, is when I hear it the most. For the first 10-15 minutes my system makes a lot of noise. I took it to the service center and the tech said “unable to be duplicated/not observed”. The noises seem to come from the center dash area, primarily behind the touch screen. They are not heard if the HVAC system is off, so it definitely has something to do with it. Heat and A/C make the same noises.

Usually these are 'expansion' noises caused by the various parts of the center stack warming up. It could be that a part(s) are too tight or close together. This was an issue with a member of the 5th gen Explorer as well. The problem is to find out which part(s) are tye culprit.
