the good news is the welds held up! hahaha

Thats good news for your spring hangers, crossmember, B2dudes bumper, etc etc hahahaha
totally kidding your skillz are mad compared to mine, but the first thing I thought of when you posted a pic of those is "I hope hes going to box them in"
cuz thats skinny metal.

I was planning on plating them.. as soon as my dimple die arrived. :p: But since these couldn't even hold up to driveway wheeling.. I'm glad I'm starting over.

So I have my pieces... anyone have any tips for bending them? Should I use heat alone? Should I grind a groove across them to make bending easier? Tom Davis?

You can grind a groove but you have to run a bead on it after its assembled (not before assembly or else the entire thing will deform).

LOL i see you picked up a few sheets of OFN :D:thumbsup:

I hear you there. I'll try it out.

It's getting about time to clean up my bench top though.

What gun punched the holes in that target?

What gun punched the holes in that target?

That was my niiiine. (Glock 26). It's from my CCW renewal. The county stopped keeping the targets for some reason. So I got it back.

So far..

That just would'nt happen to be a 8.8 carrier in the back ground??
I could use the locker out it. that would clean up your bench alittle;)

Those shackles are BEEF!:D

Please put a weld in the area you scored to make the bend..

Otherwise, they should be fine.

I would say, box it on the outside with some 1/8" just in case. One plate on either side with a good bead and you won't ever have any problems.

what is a dimple die?

That's a beauty.....what does it do?

Yeah, I think the dimple die will be here tomorrow hopefully. So I'm going to plate it on both sides. It will then weigh about 50lbs. :p:

Saves weight and adds strength (on the axis "normal" to the surface of the sheet of steel)

spose I could borrow it when your done? I'm gonna build a skid plate for under the bumper, and that sure would make it look perrty!:D
