94 Ford Explorer
I have purchased a 94 Explorer. Its going to require a lot of work. When I get a chance I will be getting some pictures of her. Got to take all the interior out and dry it out. Get mold out of it. Find a liner for her as it does not have one. The front seat is a 60/40 split. I do not remember seeing one like this but it will be changing. Will be getting different seats upfront and possibly in the rear. I may just wing it sort of for a liner. Not quit sure just yet. Will be getting a 4" lift and 285/75r16 tires. Will be building her for overlanding and fun. Ever since I got rid of my first 1st gen explorer I have been missing them a lot. Was able to get her for $600. Looking forward to working with her and keeping you all posted. Its nice to be back in an Explorer.

Nice having a blank canvas to start from. At the same time, having a blank canvas means dumping a lot of coin into it to sort it out the way you want it, haha. Something I'm sure you're well aware of. Enjoy the project! First gens are quite capable lil units... :chug:

My '91 4wd 4 dr has the 40/60 split seat. The first Explorer that I've seen without front buckets. Congratulations on your new addition!

Welcome Back!! We are all still here lol

Very cool choice

Looking forward to seeing it

Welcome back. A little scrubin' and vacuuming that interior will be spic-n-span! I swear that puddle where the front seat tracks bolt to looks like coke/pepsi that was spilled. Otherwise, that floor looks fantastic for being 31 years old.

Welcome back. Sounds like a great project:chug:

Just fyi if you do not know (LOL) Its a PITA to get the Water pump off with the Fan still on. Yes I have the clutch fan tools to get it off BUT PO took the bolts off of the Fan Pully so I was not able to use the tool. Got water pump off was not able to get the Clutch fan off though after I got it out of the engine bay so used a Sawz all and a BFH and cut the clutch fan off and got the pully off and put on the new water pump. New water pump and pully is all put back together. Now need to finish up putting in Radiator and when new clutch fan comes in will get that in. Right now will run with out the fan for now. Not going anywhere for now so its all good. just want to get it all put together and running again. I will also not be putting the trans lines back onto the radiator. It has a separate cooler for trans fluid.
Here is a pick of New Pump installed.

So had to remove upper and lower intake manifolds. Now cleaning up the parts and waiting on Gaskets to get here so I can put back together. With the weather being all crazy not sure when my gaskets will get here LOL. I live right off highway 101 in western, WA and about 2 1/2 blocks from the Hood Canal and in the last 3 days we have gotten about 5 " of snow. So a little crazy around here. Will get more pics when I can.

Nice! Glad to see you back.

I am looking for an Explorer/Ranger bench seat for our 94.

Well I got the interior back inside. Looks a lot better. Still working on the back portion. Also got my Tire carrier fixed and mounted on the rear.
