2008 Truck Haven Run! Jan 19-20 Discuss!!!

Best part of that video is Tom Rios holding his ears, obviously in pain from the sheer volume of the screech.

Tom, cancel all your business, you're going camping!!!!!

Im in!!!! I'll be getting home Friday about 11:00 PM and driving out Sat. for the morning run and staying until Sunday.

Just talked with Paul and he'll be out there Friday PM and staying till Sunday but without the Explorer, not finished yet. He'll be my co-pilot in exchange for me staying in his MH.:D That way I won't have to take my MH for one night. Thanks Paul.

Thanks to all for making fun of my MH stuck.

Why don't we stay at the turnaround road flats?. I think there's less rocks there for people with tents and the road is better, no chance of meeting someone coming up or down.

I'll be bringing 2 years of tax returns in place of Xmas tree. Beware.

yeah it kinda suck for the guy behind you in the night runs though:p:

Oh Stic-o I have something for your baby. My friend moved and gave me a baby walker thingy. Atleast you will have one for when your tyke gets older. Its one that you s.it them in and they can travel around the room. :D

I thing I can probably make it to the run as long as I have the money. I am starting a new job here soon so I think I will have the money. :D

For taillights the PAP's around here have quite a few 1st and 2nd gen explorers. Ontario and riverside both..

That good to know since Explorers at the Monrovia location are getting alittle thin lately.

Absolutely not, I do recall pounding them down with you. I was just having a few memories of ending up with some rum &/or tequila benders with Tom and Brian.

Jason, you can cause plenty of ruckus yourself too. That night run was probably my favorite one I've ever been on.

Oh. I just got a little sensitive there......too bad you're not gonna make this one. I guess I'm gonna have to fork over the 9 bucks to mail your damn jack plate!

Tom, that is great news! It wouldn't have been the same without you.

Was installing some rock lights under the Explorer and noticed the transmission is leaking where it meets the adapter for the transfer case more that last time I checked. Now its a pretty good leak. I think all those washboard roads in Death Valley might have aggravated the problem. I was hoping it would wait until after this trip, but I am going to have to pull the transfer case, and the adapter plate, seal them up and put it all back in. I noticed a few of the nuts that secure the transfer case to the adapter were not very tight, which worries me that maybe the bolts inside the adapter securing it to the transmission are loose, which means I need to get in there and fix it before something breaks. What a pain in the a%^. I have a feeling that the same guys that did not tighten up the cooling lines, maybe missed these as well. Also, no sign on RTV sealant, which is necessary to seal it all up. Friday I should have time to pull it most of the way out, then have a friend come over and help me wrestle the t-case out, and then back in.

The T-Case is pretty easy to take in and out with just one person. I have done it like 4 times by my self. it weighs around 60lbs I think.

Colin is right, Brian is running a 700R4 trans with Bro of Jefe's a old D300 T-case from his heep, if I remember corectly;)

Oh ok I didn't know that. Thanks for the ifo.;)
