2" die and 120ft of 2" .120 dom bought today. 4 days till cage work starts

we decided to go 2" due to price lol. it was only $40 more for the good stuff. it will be race legal in every sactioning body. so i could race baja in the future which would be soooooo awesome

itll be quite awhile, we figured today its well over $4-5k to race the 1000. thats some major cash right there

Yeah it would be fun, and a lifetime worth of memories for sure. But ive seen and heard about the terrain down there and its the worst of any desert racing. Which kind of make me nervous lol.

You still want those parts correct???

ill be at work, but i believe the parts are at the BTF shop in Upland. If they arent i can make sure he takes them over there tommorow. Might be a good time to meet him and talk shop to if you're looking for upgrades. He's got a couple really nice projects going on right now.

got everything stripped, the sheet metal cut out to the roof and evertyhing is ready to throw tubes at tommorow...

120 feet of 2" is alot lol...

no pics today but alot of progress made. i will say this 2" tubing sucks trying to fit the a pillar with the stock dash lol.

we did 1 1/2" around the dash and it was a pain! We only used 1 3/4" for the "B" and "C" hoops. Everthing else is 1 1/2", exsept the dash brace, which was 1 1/4".

it all fit, well so far anyway lol. just had to cut the dash padding off where the door is and alot of bending and fitting lol. with the sheet metal all cut out it fits nice and snug againt the roof skin.

the hardest part is done. now the b and c pillars and the roof bars and cross bracing are next. then lots and lots of plating.

Are you going to need to blow holes in the body floor to drop the cage and weld the top? Or will it all be do-able as is?
