The only bad thing about these gauges is you can't measure crapton with them. Oh well. maybe they'll loop around?

I wander if I could get Autometer to manufacture a new line of guages. With boost/crapton of the guage faces. Of course Robert would send out a conversion for each one I sold.

I would have to act as QC and ensure they are properly calibrated. ;)

Just got the truck running again and the exhaust leak is now fixed. I have to say the truck sounds a lot better with exhaust wrap around the y-pipe.

I took my neighbor for a spin and scared the heck out of him. Guess it's not all that slow; He said it pulls really hard...But, he may be trying to make me feel better. He'll probably want to borrow my lawn mower tomorrow.

Update***********

absolutly nothing done. ;(

The wideband came in late last week. Now all I have to do is install. I've got a steering wheel pod coming in, so I plan on mounting that away.

Full length console (I searched)

Please help.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-Ford-Explorer-Sport-Track-Full-Center-Console-Grey_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33695QQihZ017QQitemZ270143242201QQrdZ1

I've already lost one of these and I plan on not loosing this time. But, before i get carried away, can I get a confimation that this has actually been done in place of the 2001 sprt console? I'm pretty sure it will fit right in but want to make sure I don't waste a lot of money trying to win this thing.

I'll wait to the last day before bidding, and if anyone in here out-bids me I'll kickkkkkkk-your--a........ (just kidding)

Anyways, let me know.

It will bolt in and you are going to have to outbid me--

had you sweating eh?

Do ask Karl first though---

$60 for the console & $75 to ship it. That guy can go F**K himself.

That is a nice grey console Dan--you couldn't get it for 175 to your door I bet. It took a long time for me to piece mine back together--

The cupholder and cubbyhole are kind of hard to find looking that good. I can't really tell, but if it has the message center--that is another $$ item.

edit--it is just a cubbyhole-no info center

It's not that bad, considering it cost me $50 just to get the lid recovered.

I just refuse to buy from some asshat that inflates the **** out of thier shipping charges.

If you wan't $135 for the console start it at $135 and ship it for $25-30.

That console does not weigh that much nor is it that big to pay $75 for shipping.

I saw the shipping and thought the same thing. then read the page where he says "don't email about the shipping" hehehe...

Anyways, thanks Guys!

By the way, the last good looking Grey console went up to 200+ bucks!!. People really want these.

I need to part my interior out then.

Dan, and guys, I bought one as a spare two years ago. They weigh a lot more than what you think. This one has the changer in it and weighs 29 pounds.

FYI, you should be sure that what you get has the options that you want. Each model comes with a specific wiring harness. This extra one has no message center, but a changer and phone harness. My Mountaineer has the message center, but no changer wiring.

Get one that has the options you plan to use, it makes adding those much easier. If you have the short console, you will likely need part of the dash harness from a full console model. Good luck,

that's a heavy console.

All the weight reduction I've done......maybe I should reconsider.

Or, i can just take it out if I ever go to the track.

5 bolts, one plug and a bang with a hammer and it's out--
Your original console has weight also-you'll gain 5-10 lbs max--

Shipping 29 lbs UPS ground does not cost $75 dollars. I know. We ship 100+ packages UPS where I work and I at one time was the one that did the UPS shipping. I also was the shipping clerk for freight shipments. Shipping it LTL would cost $75 but UPS DHL or Fed-Ex ground would be half that.

Yeah, I know. I once was a shipping manager, in my earlier years. According to a few sellers on ebay, that's how the calculate there handling changes and so forth. (go out, pull the console, clean it up) all that cost money if you're paying someone to do this.

I'm not saying the guy is not a little high in shippping; he could probably lower that price. But, the console is very nice, and if you price a new one, you're actually saving.

More than likely, he is trying to avoid paying ebay more money for selling it at a higher price. They charge you to list it, then a final value fee based on the final selling price, they can't charge you for what the buyer pays for shipping. It is a common tactic for paying smaller ebay fees.

I had to have my console arm replaced when I bought my X, it was $140.00 for just the arm rest! So it might be worth it compared to buying it new.

Bottom line, as I figure it, is how much $$ to get it to your door--

I have paid $45 for shipping a used $5.00 sensor for my wife's nissan. The same part was 250.00 at the dealer. 45.00 for shipping was still a bargain to me:thumbsup:
