I agree, Very Nice and Very easy on the pocketbook.

especialy the ones that stick out 5"+ to meet the dumb laws
Or the dumb laws are there to minimize throwing up road debris and shattering wind shields, minimize spray on the highway when it rains, and so on.

Lookin' great man! Cant wait to do mine :)

OH! and I HATE YOUR STATE! I can't get on chat because this internet sucks so I figured I'd just let you know here. Nice weather we've been having >=[ Never thought I'd say this but I miss KS... Be safe out there!

With as many Explorers that there is out there, I have tried my best to make this one unique to my likings. I have yet to see a duplicate of this rig, and thats just fine by me. I have done things that have been changed, or things that were / are practical purposes, or things that just make me smile. It never ends once you start modifying, and is always an evolution of ones mind. Step back & ask yourself......How far are you willing to go?

To each their own :)

INH, we have a saying in the Ozarks which you will fully come to comprehend before long.............If you don't like the weather here, stick around another day, it will change. ;)

Had to raise the Drivers side back up a tad as it settled to make it uneven.

After looking at the rear fender flares, a realization had hit me. The 35's would hit the front section of them with compression, so I trimmed off about 5". They are now symmetrical with the fronts.

After looking at the rig from behind with the flares on, I also noticed how much the rear axle is slid to the pass side with the frame still being sloped in the rear. The axle is shifted to the pass side 3/4". The tire juts past the flare on the pass side while the Drivers side is tucked a 1/4". Didn't notice it until the flares were installed. :dunno:

I am so ready to hit the trails! Who else is ready?

gman,

unique & a definite thumbs up!! I love uniqueness as well, but after you are done I will be more than happy to have my Ex look like yours. So let me know when to drive it Down!!!

Now you need to loosen all ten body mounts, to move the body over. I positioned mine where I wanted it when I grafted the frame and repaired body back together.

Yes, it's easy when the bolts have been loose recently. Put more anti-seize on the threads too if you can.

Yeah but I think during the next off-camber situation, the body is going to move again. The mounts arent fixed so it will always be able to move.

The real fix is when the rear frame rails are straightened and a cross member is in place to help on the stress from the trails. There not that bad, (but not good) and it hasn't really affected anything, so it has not been a major rush to get it done yet.
