Return From Moab 2005

well, I did a check on the Ex yesterday, and I found that I have punched a hole in the D35 pumpkin about the size of a quarter. Stupid trailmaster drop plate rather that a drop axle pivot bracket. I'm gonna order some skyjacker pivot brackets so that it never happens again. I need to get that done in time for the colorado run.

What about relocating the bump stop?

I had the extended bump stops in. I think I'll see how JBWeld for aluminum will do. I've had that done before and it's worked just fine, but it only sealed a crack then and this is a hole.

I think I'll keep the bump stops where they are, but Trailmaster with all their brilliance kept the stock pivot bracket with just a drop plate for it so it hits the pumpkin and it grinds on the knuckle where the two shafts meet. If I fix that, I think it'll cure alot of my problems.

Ryan i have a spare pumpkin if that doesnt work. Ill send it to you just pay the shipping.

I did that twice to my old ranger as well. I pulled it out and took it to a welding shop. 60 bucks later it was welded up.

the last of my picture postings

Alright guys I posted the pictures from Metal Masher this morning. So all together now:
Hell's Revenge
Golden Spike
Metal Masher
I had a great time on the trip I hope you all can find some pictures of your own rig. If you want a CD of the pictures, send me an email with your address.
Rick- I've got that picture. Let me know what size you're looking for or what you're planning to do with it (online or prints) and I'll email it to you.

The video is gonna be delayed a couple days due to extreme make over. I PROMISE it will be worth it.

By the way...does anyone have Harold's email address so that he can link up to all the pictures and videos? He had told me that he would like to see them.

I expected him to call, but he hasn't. I'm going to call him tomorrow.

As for the photo, I would like to print it 13x19 on my Epson 2200.

Thanks

Rick! Hey your printer will do 19"?
not many decent priced printers will do over 17", I need them for AutoCAD. are you happy with it? (we do alot of work in metric and 13x19 is real close to a popular half size drawing for them)

Those pictures are amazing, I really wish I could have made this run, but I can just think I will be that more ready next year :)

Yes, the 2200 is an excellent printer. It will also do longer prints than 19" if you have the materials.

Went to replace the plugs on the zuk today, thinking it was missing due to oil fouling..

Popped the hood, found a plug wire off.

Runs great now, no missing. Next stop, get the rear tcase pulled for repair/replacement.
