I've considered bringing mine down a bit, but decided to leave it as is so I can flex it all out(atleast try too). It's huge even for 37s. I personally think that 36s would look too small, but hey, it's not my truck.
well i am about the same place i had with my 5.5inch superlift kit. i am putting 5 more on the front so i should be close to 10 or so. i like big truck with a partialy filled fenderwell. i just think that it will be exalctly how i have pictured it.
today i got the front set up. it is now almost done. the rear gears will be done this week and then the full width axle can go in the rear. the front is now at the height i want it to be. i corrected the angle of the front pinion by flipping the bushings over and it corrected it up to a great spot. (it didnt have directions and i put them in the wrong way) lol. i am hoping to finish the rear tomm to get it sitting a full height. then i will swap to full width in the rear next sat if possible. i still have the task of getting it out of the garage now that it is so tall.
well the weekend was full of work. we tore it all down and put it all back together. drilled a few holes and now it is at full height.
i had two of the tires mounted today a school in hopes to have the rest on by the weekend.(including the nine inch)
i will still have to take care of the front rub. if i have to i will use a two inch body lift to get it to miss the fenders. i am cutting them a bit more so that should take care of it.
yeah it is pretty tall i love it. im not sure what the size will be when i get the 36s on there. however i want to paint it and i have decided on flat black and orange accents.
i want a outside roll cage and i want to make the cage orange.
the cage will be locked in with a full roof rack and spare tire mount on back bumper.
well i think it has been a heck of a lot of work that was worth every hour.
also the rear end gears are set up and ready to install. the chunk is still out of the 9" but i think it is goin in tomm. the rear end might get put in this weekend and it might just see 36s
i wish u good luck on your build. it did go rather fast. the rear end is almost complet and ready to go in. the 4.88 gears required a little trimming of the rear end to make the correct clearance.
cool, sometime this summer we (not me and you, but people on the site) should setup some big south (GA Tn AL Sc Nc Fl etc) trip, like a weekend of froading and camping somewhere sometime.
well the rear end it set in and done. i had to wait two days to get a driveshaft build for it. i had to have four inches put on it to make it right. the gears were defentaly the right decsion. they are great with 36s. the rpm was worrying me but they turned out almost 100 rpms higher i love it
