lol. I'll take the hit on that...I was leading and zigged where I should have zagged.

Gimme a break...we just spent like an hour and a half hacksawing a bolt to the right length so I made a little mistake :D

So it wasn't a double header...had to do some on-trail surgery that took priority over Shoe Creek, but I'll let DominicanX tell that story hehe.

thats prob why it say you were on the trail ~6hrs lol

im guessing he got his transfer case in since he wen., dont tell me thats what broke lol

Nope, same transfer case. Basically his brake caliper bolts on one side got loosened a lot and one of them fell out. This caused some kind of problem with his ABS, which caused his Tcase to get stuck in 4 lo.

We didn't know all that till after we pulled the front driveshaft and both front CV's. Even after fixing all that he couldn't get back into 2wd until he unhooked his battery and cleared codes (good thinking, Will!)

Standby for pics and vids

Yeah this was quite the trip! Guess it was my turn to have something fall apart. I first want to thank you all for helping get my truck rolling. After taking out a driveshaft and converting to 2WD, only to find out a bolt had fallen out of my Brake Caliper somewhere one the trail. Guess I got lucky that I had a bolt in my tool box with the same thread pattern. And a great thanks to Will and James for helping me cut down a grade 8 bolt with a hack saw (2hrs!)

Dremel......... An item to bring on the next trip.

And whats up with getting stuck in 4LO!

Luckily a reset of the trucks computer fixed that issue and I was able to roll home at normal highway speeds.

I need to get rid of this 4405 TCase! Nothing but bad luck. Time for the 1354e to go in...with a manual shifter of course.

yep, same rocks ;)

we got too busy fixing DominicanX's truck at the end of Stony Run and ran out of time. gotta hit shoe creek sometime!

should have unhooked battery then and i bet itd have worked...

Yep that would have fixed the 4Lo issue! But we still had to cut down that bolt to attach the brake caliper!

But I take the blame...If it wasn't for my mishap , we could have done both trails. Next time we do the trail we haven't done first!
