How is the coil trashed? What are the symptoms?

The one coil has a lean to it, we tried both sides and the one always leans the same way, I think it got over stretched or something. Not sure. We thought it was something else off but then when we started comparing the coils we found our problem.

Even with the spacing correct, it still leans out on the D-side and in on the pass side. :(

this is the earlier picture, not a new one.

That is interesting Steve. It must have happened so gradually on the other truck that I didn't notice. Let me know via PM what I can do to make it right for you, I wouldn't have sold the springs if I knew one was bad.

I think what he means is that the coil itself is arching out kinda like this once weight is placed on it --> ) thats my guess :D But yeah I can see how the panhard might correct it. I guess the ends of the coils are seating lop-sided .

Won't the spring lean be resolved once you get a trackbar under there?

No the spring it self is bent.

Personally, I don't think you have any problem with the spring. The coil buckets are just slightly wider than the mounting point causing the coil to angle outward. No problems with your coil. It not a problem, merely cosmetic. I wouldn't worry about it.

I really appreciate that Michael. It means alot just you saying that. I will let you know, but for now we're good ;) Maybe I'll call you when I need help getting a house :D

On your spring issue, you said the coils leaned even when you swapped them...did they lean the same direction when you swapped them? You sure your axle is centered? I centered mine by using a carpenters square against the rotor then measuring off the frame to the square and adjusting as necessary to get the same measurement on each side.

We basicly leveled everything, then we have strings hanging from the fenders with weights on the ends. Them we have marks on a spare set of zuk wheels we have mounted. Once we got it all lined up, now when ever we move something, we go back and check our marks. The same spring always leans, on both sides. the good spring lines right up with both sides perfect.

Just ordered new springs ;)
